What do you want to purchase in 2015?

Currently saving up for two custom knives, one an Emerson the other a Marfione. Those will likely be my only purchases for the rest of '15. Nothing from the most recent Blade show really piqued my interest and at the current prices of a lot of custom knives there's little desire to purchase anything other than the ones I really know I want.

The only things I've seen or heard about that interest me so far are the M4/CF Para 2 from KW and the Spyderco GB2. I'm looking forward to those.

Oh boy, let's see... for a classic outdoors combo I've been eyeing the Gränsfors Bruk Small Forest Axe and the Helle Eggen. Maybe will get my first Becker too, the BK15 looks pretty damn good.

I don't really have anything specific other than waiting for the Gayle Bradley 2. I may try to pick up a GB1 from the Exchange. I sold mine to my bud Kevin, and I figure I'll need to have one so I can have a matched set. I got to hold the GB2 at Blade and it is absolute perfection. It amazes me how GB can design a knife that's made for hard work that's so beautiful.

Other than that, I expect I'll buy a few knives if they come up as targets of opportunity. Not sure what those will be yet.

Probably just these two...

I want a Benchmade 941, a spyderco paramilitary 2, a microtech sigil, and for a fixed blade a Becker bk2

- Great Eastern Cutlery 83 x 2 - Clip and Drop Point.
- Izula - To strip the coating and make a wooden handle.
- Really tempted by the Bradshaw Guardian 3 in stonewash, sabre grind, stonewash finish, w/ ghost jade (that I will also make a wooden handle for)
- Great Eastern Cutlery - Tidioute 735109 in smooth white bone. If I find one.
- Always keeping an eye out for a custom fixed blade under 7" that is rustic in 1095, 52100, or a tool steel
- Lastly, a knife either serialized with my upcoming (due July 3rd) baby girl's birthday, or a knife produced on that day.

It's a really nice axe. Really heavy head for basically a tomahawk/boys axe length. Definitely does what it's supposed to, which is about 90% of the ability of both a dedicated chopping axe, and a splitting axe. The weight helps a great deal.
That's good to hear. I was torn between the Bushman and the Fine Forrester's. I just hope the handle isn't too thick. I know the Forrester's comes with a slim handle and that's why I almost went with that one.

Like so many folks here, I have smaller hands. The Bushman feels super comfortable. It's not larger, just more rounded. The part I worried about was the swell below the axe head used for choking up for detail work, but it works very well.

I'm hoping to get an Emerson CQC-6 and a Strider nightmare ground SMF this year. Those both depend on me winning lotteries which means my chances are slim.

Other than those I'd like to get a Strider NSN model SMF and an Emerson Super Commander

Just ordered a Benchmade 300 Axis Flipper... Got a seriously great deal on it and have been wanting to try out a flipper and support an Oregon brand without breaking the bank.

However, on the list of "wants" is a BK9 or Esee Junglas. Time to step it up to a big choppa.

Anyone have suggestions how I purchase, or get on the list for a Andre Thorburn flipper?

They come up on the exchange sometimes and the markup is reasonable usually. As far as getting on the list I would go to his website and see if his books are open

Spyderco TIghe Stick. An amazing collaboration between a classic Canadian knifemaker and my favourite production knife company.

Cold Steel Large Espada in CTS-XHP (I already got the old AUS-8 version on discount, it's a great design, very secure grip and incredibly good fit and finish).

Cold Steel Hold Out 1 in CTS-XHP (have been using the AUS-8 version for a few years, a 6" full flat distal taper blade with a big fat handle is very comfortable for utility use. Actually I'd say it's just about prefect as long as you're not worried about the lack of a guard).

Cold Steel 12" Magnum Tanto, either the Warcraft or the traditional tanto. I'm so excited that they're actually using 3V now. I would have liked to see one of their bowies in 3V but they're only made with a rat-tail tang (http://coldsteelforums.com/Natchez-Bowie-It-is-broken-m181554.aspx) so that's not going to be useful for me.

Ooh, almost forgot to mention that Dan is stirring the pot over at the Scrapyard, who knows how that's going to go.

Aside from the CRK's and Striders I'm on the hunt for, just scored a Kershaw Turbulance and I've got to get another Big Chris fillet knife since my brother claimed the one I had.
