What would you guys like to see in 2010? Any special designs or ideas? Here are a couple of things I`ve been kicking around.

Scandi ground knives.
Refurbishing old USA made hatchets and selling them on occasion.
Smaller knives, my big ones don`t seem to sell very well.

Let`s hear some of your "wish list" knives!

Hi Stomper -

I can't wait until my JK's start coming in - 2010 will be quite a year already with my Kephart, Camp Kit and Bowie all matching handles.

Now - I was thinking about your question.

I think a set of steak knives would be great - 4 or 6 with a block for storage, or even some sort of custom sheath that could hang on the kitchen wall etc.

If JK ever comes out with a traditional slip-joint, I want to be first in line if possible. :D

best regards and Merry Christmas!

Those are good ideas. I actually have made a couple of "modern" friction folders, they did not prove popular. I`m hoping some others have your enthusiasm, orders have totally stopped coming in! I`ve also noticed that most of the "regulars" here are no longer posting.

I'll betcha those reconditioned axe/hatchets will be popular.

Hi Stomper -

It is just a couple of days before Christmas - I'll bet most people have their hands full if not at work, at least with last minute holiday chores.

I would be willing to bet that things will be hopping for you after the new year turns, as it will be winter and the holiday crazy is behind us - and we can all get back to business.

I have seen your stuff come up in many threads as I read around these forums. Your work (leather included) is highly regarded.

We can talk about a folder and or some steak knives after I get you all paid for on the three beauties that I have ordered with you.

best regards -

John, since your gettin into Scandis, Id like to see a nice fixed blade pocket scandi knife. With a fat handle like your keppy. Like a 3in blade, full handle. I think that would be cool.

Scandi folder would be sweet too.

I like the idea of a series of thin neckers in the 5.5" OAL range. Same basic handle with the option of removable scales, but with different blade types...drop point, wharncliffe, whatever.

I'd really like a JK dagger. And how about some letter openers?

Dave

That`s something I said I would never do, but, with my scandi fixture I could do a scandi grind on both edges, or one full edge, and the top a half edge.

Is there a personal reason for saying you'd never make one? If so, I'll never bring it up again. I assumed it was an equipment thing.

Dave

The dagger idea sounds good a boot knife to go with the bowie as a set . As far as posting everyone is rushing around for the holidays traveling ,last minute shopping . I've been working extra shifts . Everything will get back to normal after Newyears .

I can't wait for my scandi blade! I want a hatchet, and a redesigned LDK, with a pointier tip.

No, I just thought it would be hard to get the grinds to match. With scandi type grinds it would be possible.

That's because we are suffering in the malls and toy stores.

I think this is an interesting idea. Even if you didn't do removable scales, small neckers around 5.5" with different blade types would be very interesting. I would have to order a few (especially something with a wharncliffe).

I am a fan of all your designs, but smaller works better for me. I can't utilize the larger knives as often smaller ones. Something that I can drop in my front pocket and carry on or off duty is ideal for me.

Stomp I was thinking something along the lines of the old SOG Desert Dagger. Only with a blade length around 4" or 5".
Different handle obviously but blade style.

My current design has one full edge, and one half.
It'll end up drifting to you, eventually....
