What Do YOU Want To See In 2010?

A knife with a blade around 5" long, similar in shape to the new scandi, with a convex edge running all the way to the back of the blade like the Hudson bays does.

I wouldn't mind seeing a JK with a fitted guard/bolster. I think you should try some more fiction folders next year, I was surprised they didn't get hot.

I have some ideas for knives that I would like to see you make for ME over the next year, but in terms of general ideas:

  • A hidden (but still substantial) tang option.
  • An EDC model with a 'bottle opener' at the end of the tang (like a Becker Necker).
  • A 'bearded' hatchet with a longer cutting edge (good for trail maintenance!)
  • A selection of JK 'kit knives' - a few small-to-medium blades that are ground and heat treated, with some holes drilled in the handles, but otherwise unfinished. I think that it would be most cool to add my own handle to a genuine JK knife!
  • A machete!

All the best,

- Mike

I think most of us are trying to get Christmas shopping done so that cuts inb on alot of BF time:( As far as orders go...out Money is being spent on the Christmas gifts :) But after the Holidays it'll get back to normal ;)
I would like to see more Scandi options & Pocket models (fixed & folding) ! I also like the JK 1911 grips Idea :D
Merry Christmas John & best wishes for the new year

Oh hell yea, how did I forget that!

I imagine you could put a scandi grind on just about any of your knives and boost sales--one post on a bushcraft forum and you'd probably be flooded :P. I'd personally like to see a scandi RUSK and scandi Neckmuk.

Off the subject a scandi knives, I still think a round knife for leather would be cool, but judging from the response I got when I posted that suggestion, I'd probably be the only one wanting one of those, so it looks like I'll have to save up for a while before that design will see the light of day, haha!

Oh, and a JK kitchen knife would be kinda neat.

John, since your gettin into Scandis, Id like to see a nice fixed blade pocket scandi knife. With a fat handle like your keppy. Like a 3in blade, full handle. I think that would be cool.

Scandi folder would be sweet too.

Hey John - this is right up my ally as well. I'm a HUGE fan of a full handled knife with a blade around 3 inches. Similar to the one you just made for me that I haven't seen yet :o (Waiting for Xmas)

I'd like to see a hawkbill as well. I'm not sure if that is something that can make it into your line but I may be shooting over a drawing. :D:thumbup:

Hi Noah -

You might want to bump that one back up - Stomper will custom make almost anything that will fit in his forge from what I have seen - I suspect he just did not see that post.

Stomper - here is a link to Noah's post from a couple of weeks ago -
