im interested in what people would like to see in a scale. ill take some of the things you all want and make a scale and then ill raffle it off to the contributors for the price of shipping.

so lets hear it folks what blows your socks off?

----NEW---- make sure you have a large classic, 21, or insigno for the raffle. itll offer the best size for a cool scale.

This may not be original, but I saw it done for a different knife and thought it was the coolest idea I had ever seen and it was executed quite well.

It was a grooved carbon fiber scale, and had hash marks in it filled with some type of glow fill. It looked literally out of this world.

im pretty sure peter made that one haha, at least it sounds like one of his.

well i did buy the orange and black one from you today, but i would like a carbon fiber or g10 scale with that crazy ridging you do with a titanium top layer like you do with the moonglow.

besides that I think a micarta handle would be cool with the moonglow overlay as well.

I hardly see scales which are checkered, I see gun grips checkered left and right...but knife scales, not so much

I think a Carbon Fiber scale with drilled holes and then filled with Moon Glow would be AWESOME!

Just fill these holes with Moon Glow! Assort the holes however you'd like. Make it unique!

royal blue with black accents

OR

midnight blue with black accents.

My dream colors. I try and get anything i can in those colors. my aluminum yoyos, slingshot, fishing pole. been looking for a knife in those colors.

that'd blow my socks clean off.

a glossy plastic scale that looks like a red swiss army knife, made so that you can put a toothpick and tweezers into it

carbon fiber seems to be on peoples mind alot. also i like the idea of grooves and glowiness... blue with accents sound nice too.

keep em coming this is giving me great ideas!

I love the look of silver twill G10 and carbon fiber. What I'd like to see from you Peter is a carbon fiber scale with a silver twill G10 bolster. The G10 would be an inlay of sorts in that the carbon fiber would have a surface machined into it in which the bolster would be glued. I'd attempt to Photoshop a picture, but I don't have the skills nor the software at my disposal :o.

How about a glass or stone scale? You would obviously have to be careful, but imagine seeing everything as it moved.

A glass scale?...now that would be thinking outside of the box! Don't know how durable it would be but it would be pretty cool to be able to see the innards of your knife.

Make it out of Pyrex or another tempered glass and it would be tough enough. I wouldn't crank down on the screws or anything, but it could be done.

In fact, I think I will send a PM regarding this.. :D

i might try the glass scale for shits and giggles. it would be cool as a show case to the inner workings of such a fabulous feat of engineering ;)

kind of like the limited microtech scarab with the clear top. have to be careful though, if you dont get a good piece it cracks.

i just came up with another one..

how about a forest green g10 with moonglow overlay and a laminate of carbon fiber on the inside of the scale.
