If there was a song that summed up what your neighbors think about your knifemaking what would it be?

This is what my neighbors probably think (and they would be pretty close):

I live out of town, but my neighbors hear my 100lb power hammer. Fortunately they don't think it is a big deal.

An angle grinder makes the most noise for me. My house is about 50 feet from neighbors.

I used the angle grinder a lot yesterday because i accidentally bumped my welder to a lower power setting and was getting crappy welds. At one point i sliced through the cable like a hot knife through butter and i stood there for 5 min alternating between "i bet my neighbors are happy" and "now i need a new angle grinder, but dont have time to go the store and still finish this project". Then i realized i just needed to reconnect the power cable and tape it up good. So i was back to grinding on my neighbors nerves.

My neighbors make more noise than me so I really don't care. Right now listening to a grain silo 24-7 of their's that's off across a field. Can't hear it in the house so no big deal. I'm way out in the country and both neighbors are pretty far off. Doubt they can hear me unless their outside either so.....

Two neighbors openly hostile, apparently hate me. They have no reason aside they are just the kind of people who need someone to hate.
Am sure they hate each other, the mailman & Mr Trump too.
Is there a song for it ? I dunno, but expect there are several what will fit just change a couple lyrics.

I live in a suburban neighborhood. I actually had some folks from down the street walk up my driveway to ask me what I was building because I'm always working in the garage. Told 'em I was just fixing some equipment because I didn't know how they would react. But that was a while ago. They are nice folks and they know now what I do. But it definitely made me think of the Tom Waits song.

I have best neighbors in the world :) I make kitchen knife /1.2159 steel/ for both side of my street , for free of course . And now probably I live in sharpest street in the world . Now all of them look to see light in my shop .......to visit me , drink my coffee and give me to sharpen bunch of cheap knife :( They're cute ........ I love them :D

I don't make knives ('wish' i did), but Dire Straits - Six Blade Knife would likely fit some perspectives.

I enjoy the song.

House next door is about 275' away from my shop. As I sit here reading this and typing, the absentee owner is showing a middle aged couple around to either lease or sell. Long as I don't violate the county 10:00 p.m. noise ordinance, not much they can say. Well, they can say it, but I don't give a rats ass.

What my neighbors think about me ? Read this then ...............one Saturday my neighbor asks me to give him my angle grinder. I ask him what you want to cut ? Nothing... tomorrow is Sunday so I intend to spend that day in peace :)

Not sure exactly what song they would associate with me, but most of the time my shop music is something like rammstein, Amon Amarth, In This Moment, Avatar, so heavier than some of the neighbors probably listen to. Fortunately I have a fairly decent neighbourhood, one elderly neighbor, but everyone else within 5 houses any direction is basically under 40. Two are on my hockey team, two are in our group that does on fishing trips together, so everyone is pretty chill but I still try to keep forging to reasonable hours and work in my garage instead of the yard. I make a lot less noise than the guy across the alley, who beats the living hell out a set of drums every time his wife and kids leave him home alone.

The house and garage are way better at my new house, but my old neighbourhood was about as good as it gets around here for easy to deal with neighbors. A few empty houses for sale from seniors who moved to condos, a buddy moved in next door, a couple mellow bikers, and across the alley was an old biker, whose sons owned the houses next to him. I could make all the noise I wanted and still not drown out the bikes coming and going, or neighbors working on vehicles. I could forge outside all day, and then have friends drink around a fire all night. When you were being loud and saw a neighbor heading into the yard at midnight, he wasn’t there to shut you down, he was there with a bottle of rum or a case of beer. The entire block was hardworking people who liked to have a good time too, had similar interests and everyone got along really well.
