I'm sure someone has asked this before but after a couple hours of searching both google, using BF search link, and looking through the stickies I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for. So here it goes: Do knife makers need to obtain copyrights for their blades, pictures, and or website? Are there any legal shenanigans one should know about before selling their knives? I know taxes come into play; do you pay taxes based on how much money you made on the knife or how much you sold the knife for? i.e. it costs X amount to make the knife and you sell it for $150, do you pay taxes on the $150 or on the $150-X? Also, are there any other considerations that should be taken into account before selling knives? Ethics of selling a "weapon" - we all know they are tools first and foremost but I'm sure knife makers take their fair share of BS from the un-educated and frightened. I'm no where near selling any knives at this point but I'm curious about doing it somewhere down the road and I'm hoping to get pointed in the right direction. I appreciate any information that is shared!
