What does combat grade mean?

Just a small point to answer some queries above ... whilst Combat Grade is usually associated with a painted coating to match the theatre of operations ... not all "combat finishes" have a painted coating ... if the knife has a bead blasted finish it is usually considered a "combat" coating ...
