what does the ontario 12 inch machete tang look like

i have been considering rehandling my 12 in ontario mahete but im scared:eek: because i have no idea what the tang looks like and i dont want to ruin my awsome machete for no reason

suggestions and pics a apreciated
 
It's a blank. You can see it of course between the handle scales, there's absolutely nothing special or secret under there.
