What does your dresser look like at night . . . (PIC)

On a usaul day this is what ends up on the dresser.
1. Benchmade Mini Stryker
2. Spyderco Delica
3. Swiss Army Huntsman
4. Livesay Titainium Tiger
5. Wallet
6. loose change

OK, no photo, so I guess I have to paint you a picture:
As I lay my head down on my pillow at night, here’s what is lying on the night table:
Lamp
alarm clock
pager
2 MiniMaglights (AAA)
Al Polkowski Kasper Companion
Emerson Commander
Emerson SpecWar
Pat Crawford Kasper Folding Fighter
Leatherman Micra
Black bullet Fisher Space Pen
Stockard & Perry military wrist watch (well, actually, that’s on my wrist)
and under the table,
a Mad Dog Operator and a SOG Government.

Not too much, really.

Allbest,

Jim

"ALWAYS WATCH YOUR SIX"

My dresser has other junk on it, but my pants stay loaded even though I'll change them the following morning. That way if something happens at night, I slide on the pants and already have my normal walking around "load" with me. My keys are there, my knife is there, etc. Without having to fumble in the dark to restock my pants. -Brian

I leave my loaded pants next to my bed. My dresser has everything from my lucky sock monkey I got 40 years ago to glass cleaner to 5 cheap autoknives.

Jeff

p.s. I like knives but what really gives me a warm fuzzy feeling is a NAA 5 shot belt buckle .22 long that is really discrete and lethal. Of course you have to allow for the 1 1/8" barrel.

In my pocket are:

- Keys with LM Micra and Photon Light (turquoise)

- My Pager

- My wallet

- Small Sebenza

What really surprises me are the pens you guys carry. I think I read five people carried pens and they all named the Fisher Space Pen. I used to have a space pen, one of the originals. It was so cool. I got it as a gift then lost it. I then bought another one at staples and it seemed real chessy. Wasn't nearly as smooth and it clumped a lot. Maybe the quality went back up.

Fisher-Pens are a little on the hit and a miss side (just the cartridge). I have two, one all black, the other stainless. Right out of the box the black one has been great(Bought it in 93'), even been through the washer twice and still writes. I can't say so much for the silver one. I carry my pen in my wallet, and the thing might just be as indispensable as my blade.

Yesssss!

The ever-beloved "What have we got in our pocketses?" Thread!

My pants stay "loaded" at night too. And I set off metal detectors at 50 yards.

The Fisher pen is the most extreme pen in the world, and is reasonably priced. For the full story and why we love them so much, go to "TheWritersEdge.com".

Beware of the Eversharp "Astro - Pen". Far below the Fisher.

I've used their refills for years in my Parkers, but since buying one of the pens in 1996, not a day has gone by without one in my pants. And that includes taking my silver bullet swimming.

Remember that Cyrano de Bergeraq, (real person) never left home without his pen and rapier! -Brian

Darn you guys now I have to run out and buy another toy! Who`da thought it would be pens next?

Night stand: generic C cell flashlight ,large 2mil.SHU pepperspray,Ruger P97 .45, BM Panther,CS L.Vaquero,glasses, lamp,book of the week,keys with Micra,P38 can opener,Photon 1 yellow. Other goodies lie within.

Yes, I already carry a Fisher space pen with the Marine Corps emblem on it. However, it looks as though a photon light (or some similar item) is also becoming a required carry item among BF members.

Leather Wallet
Datebook
St. Moritz Ti Pathfinder
Clip on sunglasses w/case
Keys w/ SAK Spartan and white Photon II
Pager
SAK money clip w/cash
Change
Industrial Sharpie
Streamlight Scorpion
Sebenza

It looks like I need a Ti plated Fisher to match the watch and knife.

The Photon is very handy, but I am surprised that there are so few good flashlights on the list. The Scorpion is a great lamp, and the Surefire 6PX or 3P (even smaller) are also very good. The 123A lithium batteries that run these can be had for less than $4.00 each on the web, last about an hour of burn time, and store for ten years. Small, bright, tough and ready when you need it, you should have one in every vehicle you own as well as your emergency kits. It’s like being able to drop a d-cell Maglite into your pocket.

The initial post asked for things out of your pocket. Not many people carry a fashlight.

;Yet, you make a great point about having one at the night stand. I sure have one. Ever had a flat tire at night on a dark road? Yup, a fashlight in the car is another great place for one. Those glow sticks (break apart and glow) are cheap and also easy to keep in the car.

I'm also guilty of expanding my "in pocket" list. The Revolver stays in the night stand.

Gotta add to my "toys to buy" list... A space pen!

Actually, I assumed that the Handguns were not an out of pocket item either. I do have a sheath for my Scorpion, but it would fit in your pocket easier than some of the keychains on display here. A good picture and price are available here http://www.southernce.com/scorpion.htm

And not to be a salesman, but what kind of flashlight is in your wifes car? Do the batteries work? Is it bright enough on the side of the freeway with headlight spinning by? A little peace of mind and a great stocking stuffer.

To Gollum,
I usually keep my ring inside the dresser, but I seem to remember a time long ago and far away, in a cave, deep underground, inventing riddles...

All i can see on my night stand at night is the soft warm glow of Trijicons atop my 1911.

My stuff is usually scattered, but I have my Wallet, keys, and Camillus Cuda on top of my entertainment center. Then I got my Benchmade on the TV, my ULTRA COOL torch dagger sticking out of my desk (ought to be in the barrell soon), Ka'Bar is.....hmm....somewhere...

Add me to the list of "leave the pants fully loaded next to the bed" fans.

If I have to do the "full switchover" in the AM, fine, but in any case if I have to jump up in the middle of the night, all the basics are there.

I'd lose all my goodies one by one if I did anything else!

My dresser? A crate full of phonograph albums that won't fit anywhere else and a 20" Sony on top. I too leave my essentials in my pants. I load a clean pair of pants every night before I go to bed. Contents? Besides the stuff everybody carries, there are assorted products from BladeRigger, Mad Dog, Chris Reeve, Gerber and an ever present Photon. Exact details not provided do to paranoia of profiling.

Everything next to me...

2. Hankerchief

5. Benchmade Sentinel and/or black CQC7 and/or black AFCK
6. Car Keys w/ Orange Photon
