Mine used to carry a flea market special that her uncle gave her, so last time I went to wallyworld I picked her up a Gerber EVO Tanto.
I was actually looking for the CRKT M16 EDC but they seem to have stopped selling it.
The Gerber is an almost carbon copy of the M16, except that it has an aluminum frame.
To be honest, I think that Gerber was pretty low for making such a direct copy of someone else's knife, but I couldn't really pass on it for the money.
She loves the knife.
At first she asked me why it was better than the one she used to carry, but when I pointed out to her the light weight, the pocket clip and the flipper she was sold.
I'm lucky in that she already likes knives, all I have to do is gradually steer her away from flea market junk. I think the Gerber is a step in the right direction.
When we first met (I think it was our second date) she lamented that the spring in her switchblade broke. I knew at that moment that I had to marry her
