What else can be done to the Umnumzaan?

I really think the patchwork design should go all the way down. It seems that if they extended it just a little more it would really help with getting the knife out the pocket quicker. I hate the over travel disc, but I realize it's there for inexperienced zaan openers lol...I was once one!

I like the old style (original design). I never really had any issues opening or closing the Zaan. Maybe it's because of all the thumb wrestling I did in high school...:D

Maybe I'm crazy, but I had always wished the old style had a regular pivot. I like the current offering as it is and wouldn't change a thing. Considering buying one. Ymmv.

Take out the lbs, put in the old pivot with a hex screw cut out in the middle, original stone wash, and take after the curtiss f3 and make the pivot act as a lbs. Best of every world.

I think the pivot acting as the lbs would be an incredible feature for the Umnum. Totally agree.

No. But, if after a while the o-rings become a little loose... go down to Home D/Lowe's and get #60 o-rings and replace accordingly.

My list....
1. Improve the lock bar access. It' sharp and hard on them thumb. Maybe even lessen the lock bar tension? (I like like the looks of the LBS btw, it just looks nice to me).

2. Continue the pattern on the handles all the way to the end of the knife. Maybe even do a different pattern. I have a wilson combat version and love it, the stock version just brings out the ocd in me that says the pattern should be all over.

3. Lose the glass breaker. Just not a fan on it. Maybe it's because I associate the feature with the cheap Chinese knives that always have a glass breaker and seat belt cutter. I really don't know but, I don't like it.

Already mentioned this, but bring back the old stonewash on the blade.

Make the lockbar less pointy and painful.

Current blade shape is ok, but would be cool to see some ideas of different blade designs minus the harpoon.

Get rid of the OTS and bring the milling all the way up the lockbar to the clip.

Consider beveling the corners around the handles...maybe.

Since this is the tactical-ish CRK, give an option for a factory stonewash of the handles. The checkering should help greatly with any possible slickness of the handles from the stonewash.

The .060 longer studs bill made for my early Zaans worked much better (IMO).

S35V is no big deal now so chris could be doing stuff like this.
