What else do you collect besides Busses?

Mate I`m half Irish and half Russian so i understand your predicament ! Love the Pic Steelnut no disrespect meant in my previous post either all that shattered crystal would give me a migraine anyway ! lol !!

I think it is cool you Mates from around the world are scrounging for INFI like the rest of us!

Resinguy,
Last year for my Bday she just gave me her card and said Buy a knife for yourself.....Too bad I hadn't discovered Busse Combat!;)

Would`nt really if we were smashing it only if we were trying to slice it up . lol

Steelnut us Aussies are building quite a large (for us anyway) Busse following .

We do come in peace , but in saying that . We`re not afraid to use our knees and elbows in order to get to the front of the Trough !

Man i love the Busse Forum ! Such a Placid atmosphere hehe

A veterinarian buddy of mine told me this story about his late dad. They lived in Hendersonville, TN. His dad was a MD/GP. Sometime after retirement, he receives a shoebox in the mail. Relatively light. Rattles a bit.

He opens it. It's completely full of years and years of fingernail/toenail clippings.

I told the bldg maintenance guy at work this story back in 2003. I found out about a year later, he would trim his nails in the office every week or so... then walk down the hall, unlock the IT Mgrs office, and drop 'em into his desk drawer. It wasn't until a couple of years later the the IT guy starting freakin' out. Fun (sick) times...

I was going to make a bad joke about collecting toenail clippings, but then decided it was a little too twisted. Your post convinced me I made the right choice. :D

steelnut, my wife collects Waterford Lismore as well. Funny thing... we visited the Waterford factory in Ireland last summer. Figured we'd be able to buy it cheaper and ship home. It's actually cheaper to buy it here in America, especially at Sam's Club!

rbmcmjr: I've got a Commodore 64 I need to sell you!!! :D

I used to collect vintage shot glasses, but I haven't found any good ones for a while. I only look for the old vintage glasses, not the new souvenirs.

:D:D

At least Lismore is a "manly" pattern:D
Not as manly as shot glasses.....

Do Aussies have to pay an import tax on Busse?

Thanks resinguy!
If we're all doomed at least it's in style! Can't tell you how long I went back and forth across the web reading up on everything. Sure the reviews, but the loyal fan base for BUSSE is phenomenal! Nothing can make up for that; and it was with the kind of character I didn't mind being associated with. The BUSSE community keeps presenting itself in the best of light time and time again.

When I graduated from High School ('83), that was THE hot ticket for home computers. I have many fond memories of using one.

Cool  Have to pitch in David is one of the nicest knifemakers you will ever meet and will really work with you if you want to change his design a bit:thumbup:

We come in peace, oh definitely! I'm right behind ya, Matt! The Australian contingent of the Busse following... :p

In keeping up with what the topic says, I collect Scrapyard knives, Swamprat knives, SOG knives, and other military styled knives besides Busses.

I seem to collect leather scraps, lots and lots of leather scraps........

:o

I can't stand to leave a super clearance deal from one of the major hardware store. especially when YOU KNOW you're going to need it SOONER OR LATER!

My wife thinks I'm nuts.... My "man" room ( ahem, garage ) has a major collection of usefull items that I don't use all time, but incredibly helpful when the time comes.

Some time ago I got a 4 ton winch ( wife shaking her head at the time ) LO AND BEHOLD!!! Last week we needed to make room for that super duper kid playset and had to clear some old trees and stumps. Brought out the ol' 4 ton special, later the wife comes out with a cold one and said those magical words

"You were right." Oh yeah, makes a guy proud.

You never know when you are going to need a 4 ton winch. I have one too just waiting to be called into action.

Hey Mathew. Awsesome DMK's and pics:eek: Love that Kozukai !

I'm trying to sell most of my handmades (except the D' Holders) so I can buy more Busse and pay for what Busse I have put on the CC.

Just sold two of my DMK's:( ... needed Blade show money for Busse). I should have already got back in touch with him about what material I want for handle on the Shidobu Warrior though. It looks awesome and I can't resist it.

I'm going to e-mail you a couple of questions about yours, I just took a pic of the DMK I EDC to send to you also.

Lost causes.

Young military men and women in a state of career confusion.

Government projects in a state of disarray.

Marginally crazy ideas.

Oh, and scientific books/textbooks. You know, the usual.

A four ton winch? I thought that is what they made dynamite for:D (Guess you can't pick that up on clearance at the hardware store though).

Next time you need to get rid of a stump, you should have a Busse party. We could all chop it into little pieces for you.
