Some sweet stuff in this thread!

I used to be a big time vinyl record collector, but I haven't bought many in the last few years and I've started selling off a lot of the ones that aren't important to me. Keeping my favorites though- I still have 100s of records.
Other than that I have little collections here and there- Guns, Watches, Zippos, Hats, Coins, etc. For a while I collected ESEE stuff, but almost all of that is gone now.
My knife and record collections have definitely been the two most extensive collections I've had.

That's awesome. I didn't realize that Texas was a good shark tooth hunting ground. Some of the best places is the phosphate mines in Central Florida known as Bone Valley and maybe the most famous for awesone teeth is Lee Creek which is also a phosphate mine in Aurora, NC. That area has been closed off for the most part to artifact and fossil hunters. Most of mine were found in SC (intercoastal waterway) and by my friend who does blackwater diving in the cooper river in SC.

My great aunt lived in Charleston, talked to a guy there once that did river diving looking for the really high dollar nice ones. Sounded like it was very dangerous. I always wanted to go to the limestone mine there to look. Tons of whale bones and Megalodon teeth. Looked like you could find really nice size teeth but all the ones I saw did not have good color to them, more the color of limestone.

River diving can be very dangerous with boats and other things that go bump in the dark. He's told me its so dark he generally can't read his guages or see what he's picking up. It's all by feel.

To clarify, the ones we find are typically very small a 1 ton 2 inch tooth would be a great find. All found while walking the beach!

Cool thread and Cool teeth. Is there a particular spot you look for them ? I Also have a collection of firearms and three wheelers. Trikes as we used to call them before they were unfortunately banned. They were just a little before their time is all. Selling most of that stuff off now.

Surprised to see the three wheeler collection mentioned, I too have a decent collection of old ATC's. I have a pretty clean set consisting of a Honda 200x, 250r and 350x. All 1986 models, I have owned 2 of the 3 for 20+ years.

Jbs. Let me know if you ever need any oem parts. I just sold my two 86 250r's. very clean low hour bikes.4k each. my non 3 wheeler friends can't believe how much they are worth to collectors.

Never intended to but somehow I ended up with a whole bunch of duck calls. Nothing rare or particularly special. I just like duck calls I guess.

My parents collected coins, so I got into that. I don't really collect knives, guns, firearm suppressors, and fishing supplies, but I am moving forward on collecting the "perfect assortment" for each. I guess you could call it a collection, but I use every last one of them. I just want to cover the broadest spectrum I can in those sports/hobbies/ and tools. To cover every type of shooting, fishing, and cutting tasks.

By the way, awesome shark teeth collection!

I've been grabbing some nerdy superhero hanks lately to use as gym towels and to use as blade picture backgrounds.

Oooooo....DOXA... I knew you had good taste!
That is a bit of a grail watch for me. I have a few Seikos, too. And one Breitling Aerospace. Couple of Citizens. But I wear a G-Shock most of the time.

Yeah, I have always been a Doxa fan. Most people never heard of them and their huge contribution to the dive watch world.

I would say the primary focus right now is on furthering my collection of ammo and magazines!

This is an interesting thread. Just stumbled onto it. Love the shark teeth. Super cool.

Me, aside from guns, I have really been getting into Oakley sunglasses lately. Always had a few pairs but now it seems like I find a reason to buy most any new version that comes out. Gonna get a Oakley display case one of these days just so I can have them all displayed in one place.

Based on my wife's closet, I apparently collect women's cowboy boots and jewelry as well. I also have a small herd of horses that I never ride anymore so I guess that makes them a collection as well.

I collect guns and a lot of Silver coins and bars with some Gold bars and jewelry. Just in case paper money isn't worth anything one day.
