I used to collect older duck decoys, and still collect old books, especially those on the outdoors. I have six shelves of books on early woodcrafting, firearms, fishing, hunting, and knives. I also have full sets of Mark Twain’s and Dickens from the 1930’s that belonged to my grandfather on a separate set of shelves in the back room. Also many boys books from the early 1900’s, like the Motor Boys, the Rover Boys, and the original Tom Swift, along with some early copies of Zane Grey. I also still collect Buck 110’s, in my opinion the best knife made.
What do you all collect?

Other than knives, I have quite a collection of camera lenses. Some of them dating back to the 60s. I still try to rotate through and use all use of them.

And fountain pens. I bought my first fountain pen in 1985. Love them!! Currently using a Sailor 1911 Tangerine with EF nib filled with Apricot ink. Such an amazing writing instrument.

Cars. I have a 2015 mustang Anniversary model and a 1965 Shelby replica. Working in building a 1933 Ford now. And I seem to collect kids. We have 5 from 23-3. Eventually we will figure out where those keep coming from. Lol. I collect shot glasses. It started out as just from places I’ve been but people found out and started bringing me some from their trips so it grew to just them in general. And it seems That in looking for the perfect pen, i have begun collecting them also.

Other than knives, I have a bunch of fledgling collections. Fishing gear, power and hand tools, trading cards, baseball caps, wood machinist tool chests. Unfortunately, I have no collecting focus, so I'm more of a packrat than anything.

photography equipment , and you thought knifes where expensive ! I came from film 35 mm and then moved on to digital format about 27 years ago and wow have times changed, but the knifes and cameras go well together I would say, take pics so you guys can see my knifes over hear;)

Oh, I've got a bit of this and a bit of that that grabs my attention for spans over the years. I've got a few flashlights, some old cameras, various types of shoes, a few Zippos, books on the New Orleans underbelly, vintage punk memorabilia, and I think the next step is vintage racing memorabilia. Nothing to the span of my knife collection, but a lot of things have consumed my time over the years.

Well, unless you count music. I have a laughably huge music collection, but that's more of a life necessity than a hobby. :D

Moving out of Illinois to Tennessee gave be a good reason to thin out my hoarding / collecting.

I had a ton of diecast motorcycles and cars, which I gave a lot of them to my grandsons.

I had collected 17 motorcycles, and I got rid of 10 of them before bringing the other 7 down here with me. I have a friend here with me this weekend who is going to take one more away.

I have collected old disc golf discs since the mid 80s when I was playing the tour, and I will be selling that stuff off soon to clear out a little more space.

I also have a collection of Caterpillar die-cast tractors and such, again, which will be sold off or given away as time allows.

Finally, I collect old, full, sealed Jack Daniels bottles. I have a modest collection that I have been putting together for over 30 years and have a room in the new house dedicated to it's display.

This is just a neat thing I like collect foreign coins and more recently some foreign paper currency. I like some of the designs that tell a little about the history or culture of a nation. On our cruise trip a few trips ago through the Panama Canal from the Pacific side, I managed to get some coins from Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama ( they use the US dollar, but Balboa for smaller denominations, I believe, got a plaque with the coins with a pic of the Miraflores locks), and Aruba. The really different one is the Aruban paper 10 Florin, which feels like it's laminated in plastic but has a cool feel, I guess for durability, and cool designs.

One guess...COINS ;) U.S. silver dollars and bullion plus I still have some really nice old baseball cards but they are all left over from my childhood. Won this one last night, if you know what it is then you know what it is!

San Francisco mint? Morgan Dollar. Are there any Carson City or West Point Morgan dollars? Should luck it up, sorry. I have a few Morgans. I got one of the last year, 1921. My mother had a few Peace Dollars from her father too. What I did not know until recently was that there are 1999 Susan Bs made, after requests from some vending machine vendors. Saw them the other day and had to look since I thought they were only 1979 to 1981. The 1981s are supposed to be hard to find I thought.

Edit I looked it up the 1893 S Morgan only had a mint of 100,000 so it increases with condition. Had to look since curious.

I’ve got some Chinese currency, but I gave the coins to my grandkids, I kept the paper currency. Left over from my trip to China years ago.
