Looking to buy some more supplies and epoxy is on my list.

What do you use?
Where do you get it?
And how do you dye it (if applicable)?

Thanks,
Wade

West System 3 from Woodcrafter's,dye it with epoxy collorant from TKS.

Acraglas, from brownell's. They have dye's and a thinner especially for it. It is expensive unless you buy it in bulk. It must be measured, mixed, and stirred as directed. I have not found this to be a problem, I use 10ml syringes with the needles removed to measure. Use one for resin and one for hardener and you can clean them up with hot soapy water. I have not tried the thinner because I have not needed it. It's about like pancake syrup immediately after stirring, then gets thicker with time. In my opinion it is perfect for hidden tangs.

After reading the "glue wars" thread I use gorilla glue and loctite extreme.

I've been using Gorilla Glue, but have found it to be too "foamy".
You have any issues with it?
Seems like it expands and I can see it on the seems, especially if using spacer material.

I've only had problems with it being foamy if there isn't enough pressure. Anywhere it can seep out it will be foamy but I clean it with q-tips while it's still soft, after it's dry you have to sand through the "spongy" crap that squeezes out...

Brownelles acragless & K&G knife makers epoxy both are fantastic and have incredable bonding strenth.

Still a new maker but I've used Gorilla on no pin slab handles that have lasted more than a year of use (my own knife), some have been dropped on concrete that damaged handles but did not loosen the bond. Other than that I have used G2 with good results after getting recommended by local makers.

i use west systems 105 resin with their 206 hardener for bowyery, so i bought a gallon of the resin and now use it for most projects that call for epoxy.

it treats me well.
