Just like the header says. What do you like most about your Sebenza?

It's multiple choice & public

I checked "all of the above" regarding the large classic. It really is the perfect folder for me.

A strong knife high quality knife built to be Used that will last for Years if

you take care of it....the list goes on................;)

All of above ;)

I also do like how thin the knife just is. And its not to wide in your pants. That is the thing that keeps me putting it back in my pocket day after day.

I like the tolerances that it's built to. No blade wiggle at all.
I'd say it's the bushing system, but my Leafstorm has a bushing pivot as well and isn't nearly as nice as the Seb.

After that, I'd say the pocket clip: Goldilocks level tension, and the double-contact point is really smart.

I love the way I can feel superior to all the commoner knife owners. All of them eat their hearts out with envy when they see my high precision, high price, grey monster of a knife proudly displayed in its glass case. If they show they totally accept their lowly position in the knife world I may let them touch it. No, silly, the knife.

:D

The stealth factor of the plain small Sebenza is another favorite aspect of the Sebenza for me.

To non-knife people it looks very plain and unassuming and does not draw much attention. The scratched up look of the titanium after a few months of carry only helps this perception to people.

The plain Sebenza really is a pocket knife for the "Quiet Professional".

I love the fact that it is really elegance in simplicity. It is probably one of the best form / function balances that I have ever seen.

A Sebenza isn't necessarily the best at any one thing (although the fit and finish is close) but it is, IMHO, the best at all things on balance. Similar to NASCAR or Golf, you don't have to win every tournament or race to be #1 in the world.

+1

It just works d#$*^t!:D

the bushing system, way it carries, and ease of maintenance are the features of the sebenza that really stand out to me:D

Are we allowed to say what we dislike? Because at first glance I should like it, but in reality I'm not that in to it.

For one, the price. I feel like it is about $100 too expensive for what you get. I'm also not a fan of how they currently run their S30V. That is not my favorite steel to begin with, and they run it soft. I also don't like how worn they look after a little pocket time. All the user pics show lots of scratches. I just got a used Camillus Cuda Dominator which is the Darryl Ralph designed titanium knife that is the same pattern as the cheaper Heat. It was used by the guy I got it from for a couple years and the blade shows that it led an EDC life. But the handle still looks new. CR could put a more durable finish on the titanium. He could also incorporate some of the newer innovations like the hinderer lock bar stabilizer, or at least extend the pocket clip over the lock bar to prevent over extension. He could also use some of the more exotic blade steels and some different grinds for the price they go for. But it is his knife company and his design so he can do whatever he wants. Those are just some things that put me off a little. I do really like the design and profile though.

Does anyone know if he hardens the lock bar face or puts some type of coating on it to reduce wear?

Hey neighbor! If you would have said Large Classic, Dual Thumblugs we could maybe meet up for some coffee and discuss this idea in greater detail. The offer is always there.

PS- I voted prematurely without reading all of the choices (damnit)

The ONE thing that I'd like to see refined/improved, and that wasn't specifically listed in the poll, is the thumbstud. For someone like me, who likes to frequently open/close the blade (just fiddling with it, basically), the thumbstud is a bit small and/or pointy. Thumb gets a little bit sore after a while (tip of the stud leaves a bit of a divot in my thumb). Wouldn't mind if the stud were somewhat rounder/beefier/smoother at the tip. That's a relatively minor concern for me, though. Otherwise, I checked 'All the above' in the poll. It's a nice knife all around.

Blade handle ratio is also great like has been said. I also like how the lockbar cutout is still very thick. When I see a thin little cut out left on a framelock it makes me wonder about the strength. I also like how there is a lot of contact of the lockbar touching the tang.
