What features do you like in a large knife sheath

I'll be honest, I much prefer kydex because it's easy to attach to a pack. I find wearing larger knives on my belt irritating.

I like the kydex for the reversibility. I am right handed, but I could see a place for reversing the carry.

Agree they're ambidextrous, and for that reason I bought one for a Ka-Bar of mine. But I never use it, preferring the wrong-handed leather original sheath. Why? Beats me. Maybe I'm more tradition-oriented than I think.
