Alright so i'm finally tired of buying mag lights to edc and them breaking right when i need them 3 weeks later....
I tried taking it upon myself to find me a light but their are just so many... Its almost more overwhelming than knife shopping for the first time.
The Current lights on my list are fenix pd32, or fenix ld10 the only reason i dont want to get the ld10 is the how mode switching works i prefer the mode button the pd32 has much more. Lumens arent really that big of a deal to me as long as it has ~100 and i also only wanna spend about $60.
Thanks jbb
sorry for the bad grammar

foursevens has worked for me, after i lost my preon 2 (great edc light along with the preon 1) i've been using my mini123. Great light, good level dispersion and the batter life makes up for the extra cost, good knurled grip and if your inventive you can turn it on with one hand. any three of those would be great edc lights.

I got an Eagletac d25c clicky a few months ago when they came out and absolutely love it. Just under 400 OTF lumens on a single CR123, best UI I could ask for on a light. Its very small (smallest 123 light with a button) but I can get all four fingers around it easily. If you want they make a 740 lumen 2X123 but for EDC I've found that 2 cells are overly bulky especially if brightness is not your main concern.
The lights you listed are a 2X123 and a 1XAA so it's hard to understand what you want.
If you want a side-button/ rotary controlled single-cell light I would look into the Jetbeam RRT-0 or RRT-1. The RRT-0 can take a 123 or a AA so that's nice, but it's out of your price.
If you really want a two cell light the pd32 is a great choice.
I recommend the D25C

Bough Fenix Ld01 for my wife and LD12 and PD32 for me. I was so happy with them. Nice lights.
But yesterday my friend brought the USD 5,96 noname flashlight working on 14500 (AA size Li-Ion accumulator). Found in on Ebay
It is bloody Jedy sword. It is much more powerful than both Fenixes. Feel like idiot, trying to get better thinking about 2 years warranty from Fenix

Just wanted to add:
One thing I love about Eagletac is the tail stand design; there is a notch in the tailcap so that even if one utilizes the lanyard holes, the light can still stand on end. The Jetbeams offer tail-standing designs but use of the lanyard hole eliminates the ability to stand up stably. Fenix lights do not tail stand well ITFP
Not a criteria OP mentioned nor is it a feature I noticed when I made the purchase. However I have found it to be one of the most thoughtful, useful designs on a production light.

Editing because I don't want to spam the thread:

The E15 is the light I had that got replaced by the D25C and I find the D25C to be the perfect improvement. A little brighter, a button, and a little bigger such that it feels the same in the pocket but much better in hand.

I've loved the Quark Pro QP2A-X. It is a great light - 280 lumens and 8 different settings. It uses 2AA, so easy to find batteries for it.

I've been a huge fan of my Four Sevens Preon 2. Absolutely love the amount of light that it puts out and it's very thin and easy to carry.

To me Four Sevens preon2 gets a lot of pocket time at work. But I too am a fan of eagletac the stand function that justsomedude mentioned comes in handy a lot! I didn't think I would ever use it, but man was I wrong. During blackouts just pop that bad boy up and take off the top and it lights up the whole room. Either one of those lights is a great choice.

I own the Fenix PD32 and the Klarus XT11 for EDC lights. Similar in size though the Klarus has a larger head and slightly thicker handle, run on the same batteries (2XCR123A or 1X18650). I much prefer the Klarus XT11. It is brighter by far, has a hardened steel strike bezel and both the On/Off switch and the mode select switch are on the butt which makes operating easier than the Fenix which has the mode select button up towards the head.
If I had to buy just one for an EDC light, the Klarus wins hands down.

The Preon2 is an ideal EDC(more of an overpowered pen light), though you mentioned breaking your last maglites and also said you wanted something you can get a good grip on, so the Quark Pro QP2A might be a better choice for you at $56.50. You can also upgrade to the XPG-2 emitter for another $10 on top for 20% brighter output at the same runtimes. Though if you say lumens don't matter, then the standard XPG model should do just fine. Mode changing is relatively simple. Just tap the button after clicking it on to cycle through the power levels.

Actually dealer pricing may be cheaper(I just read off MSRP from their site), so you can have your cake and eat it too:thumbup:!

Here are some choices/ones I've personally used.

Eagletac: P100A2, T100C2 MKII, T20C2 MKII. M3C4 single XML, D25LC2.

HDS Systems: 120E, 170E

Jetbeam: RRT-0

Fenix: PD20

Inova XO3

IMO all these light are worth taking a look at but If you don't want to spend to much money but still want a good light look at the Eagletac P100A2 great budget light, nice tight hot spot with a bit of flood in the beam, and it runs on two common AA. You can get the Inova XO3 at some retail stores. Jetbeam RRT-0 is great it gives you the option of running the light on a AA, CR123, or a 14500. And it got the infinite variable ring. But if you want a light that's built like a tank check out the HDS systems lights, yeah there a little expensive but their fully programmable, very nice lights.

I have bought some number of great LEd lights all for less than 20 bucks from a chinese export company...google Fandyfire.. Some extreme deals out there..

I have CR123, 18550 and AA cell lights all are 100 lumen plus and none have failed to work. my edc is a brandless one with three years of continuous carry.

I also have a 1200 lumen head in a 4 D cell maglight, not an EDC but "wow!!!! It cost me $60.

Led Lenser P7. Very good torch.
175 lumens, AAA batteries, $45.
