Hmmm now im stuck between the eagletac D25LC2 clicky and the Quark Pro QP2L-X i still like the pd32, but ive heard alot of mixxed reviews of them...

I want cr123 for the extra runtime, and lumens ill also swap to an 18650 either if i get either of these

Thanks for the help guys.... on the eagletac if i turn it off on low will it come back on on low? i know with the 4sevens i can program it to however i want the modes. i just dont want the first click to be moonlight mode everytime i turn it on.

I have a Fenix PD32 and I really like it. I have a number of older Fenix, Streamlight, Inova, Pelican and Nuwai lights and the PD32 outclasses them.

Mag has improved their products in recent years. The biggest problem with the old ones was that they were incandescent. New Mag products with LED's are good products. Mostly I like them because they are common and relatively inexpensive. I have some of the 2D models with LED's for around the house use. They throw a beam a long way and the batteries last a long time. I have some of the new mini-mag LED models and they are good too, and use common AA batteries. They can't compete with a similar Fenix but they are half the price. Mag has some new products that use AAA batteries and have multiple lighting modes and these are pretty good lights too, maybe not as good as a Fenix but better than past mag products.

I EDC a Fenix LD01 whenever I know I'll be out after dark. Its about the size of a AA battery, it comes with a pocket clip and it runs around $35 or so. Also you should look into maybe getting a keychain flashlight like the Streamlight Nano.

Bough Fenix Ld01 for my wife and LD12 and PD32 for me. I was so happy with them. Nice lights.
But yesterday my friend brought the USD 5,96 noname flashlight working on 14500 (AA size Li-Ion accumulator). Found in on Ebay
It is bloody Jedy sword. It is much more powerful than both Fenixes. Feel like idiot, trying to get better thinking about 2 years warranty from Fenix

The fenix will way outlast that cheapo light ive had quite a few of them nebo, alot of no name ebay lights... they just dont last thats why im finally stepping up to these higher end lights.

I was using a Fenix E21 as an EDC light as I like the mini-mag size form factor. I did find it was too bright for close work as it has no super-low mode. However it is simple, robust, and very handy. I've switched to an E05 for now to see if I needed the bigger light for everyday stuff. I'll still use the E21 for wilderness trips though.

I LOVE my PD32. No mixed emotions here! The sheath sucks, but I'm going to make another one out of leather soon.

It's a hair more than you wanted to spend, but I bought my PD32, Xtar charger, and two 18650 batts off the big auction site for $90 shipped.

I carry this light non-stop. I'm a paramedic, and when I need a light, I need a light. The Fenix has performed every single time for me, without fail. It's been dropped, thrown, banged and smashed, and still keeps on ticking. There aren't too many things I've purchased that I'd do it exactly the same way again, but this light is one of them! My wife bought it for me for my birthday in March after much research by me, and I go home regularly after shift and thank her for it. It has gotten high praises from the fire guys we work closely with as well.

PD32 all the way!! Also, the package deal like I bought is sooooooo much nicer than running 123s in it. No guessing at how much power you have left. If theres any doubt, just pop it out and recharge it.

Alright so i'm finally tired of buying mag lights to edc and them breaking right when i need them 3 weeks later....
I tried taking it upon myself to find me a light but their are just so many... Its almost more overwhelming than knife shopping for the first time.
The Current lights on my list are fenix pd32, or fenix ld10 the only reason i dont want to get the ld10 is the how mode switching works i prefer the mode button the pd32 has much more. Lumens arent really that big of a deal to me as long as it has ~100 and i also only wanna spend about $60.
Thanks jbb
sorry for the bad grammar

How do you manage to break Mag Lights? They have earned their reputation for toughness.

If you can break Mags, you're still going to break any other light, especially the expensive bulb in it.

I never had luck with maglights esp. minimags... But I have yet to wreck my LED light. I'm sure I could drive a truck over it.

Idk how I manage it I just use the light for a light not a hammer or anything and they just stop working... I've replaced batts in them and switches and they still don't work idk what it is... I did get about 4months out of one that's the max I've ever had.

Also I decided to go with the eagletac... it just seened to have the best fit and finish to me. Thanks for all the help I really really appreciate it.

I just traded for 3 eagletac lights at a gun show and man I gotta tell you, I love the little mini d series. They are super nice with a real nice bright beam. I'm thinking its gonna kick my 4sevens minix 123 outta my pocket and I've carried it for a year or more.

Concur with CWL, I have used maglites of all shapes and sizes since my days as a LEO, have had good luck with them. I have never needed to use it, but I am told they have good customer service. Currently EDCing a Maglite XL 50.

I can't speak about their LED models, but the old 3D Mag I had revealed some issues. The external body and construction and internal stability was solid. You can whack someone over the head with it and continue using it. It's just that some of the fine internal components seem particularly vulnerable to corrosion. The contacts are simply oxidized from sitting there for a year or so. It's a problem I never notice in my modern LED pocketlights. So by "stop working" it's more a case of the internal parts being too oxidized to properly conduct a current.

i picked up a 5.11 ATAC PLx penlight. I just took a gamble at the surplus store and im liking it!

I recently got a 511 ATAC L2 flashlight and like it alot, have some other 511 gear as well, really liking their stuff.

Any of the HDS system lights. Expensive ~ 100+ USD range but the Hummer of EDC lights. Indestructible.

Agree 100%. I have 2 hds lights, with a hi cri clicky on the way. The first thing I do when I get mine is turn it on and throw it in the tub full of water.

Love my streamlight protac 2L. Very compact and fits me perfectly. Takes 2.cr123a batteries. 3 modes 180 lumen, strobe, and 12 lumen. Pocket clip and tacticool strike bezel.

Eagletac D25LC2 clicky w/eagtac 3100 18650. The perfect EDC, great runtime, and the WOW facture on turbo. The UI is user friendly. LJ has the clicky version. The G25C2 MARK II will be here today. 1030 lumens, I can't wait till it gets dark. LOL.
