What folders are the Beckerheads carrying?

These days I tend to alternate between a Vic Farmer or Cadet, SRM 763, Spyderco Delica, Kabar Dozier or a Case slipjoint.
Along with the 14 or 24 of course.

This one has replaced all my folders. It's the Buck Vantage Pro, and I've got to say the Bos heated s30v is some awesome stuff! One could almost get lazy with maintaining their blade, this one holds a good edge for so long.

Has been my go to folder for a looong time. Until my dad wanted it to open a package. Pried open some of those threads with iron in it (dunno in English) and even tried to cut them. It was a pain in the but to get the chips out of that s30v. Tend to go with softer steels since then. But nonetheless, it is an awesome blade for sure.The micarta, deep carry clip, steel choice...and the price! Damn... Maybe I ought to put it back in rotation some day.

Both Spydercos, a Manix, and a Tuff.

Truthfully I am still in the getting acquainted with them mode.

I used to carry a Buck Crosslock 180.


Then I bought my BK14. I carried both for a while but the Buck eventually started getting left at home.

I've carried a Leatherman in addition to a knife since I was in high school (including while I was in high school).

Of all the Spyderco's, the one Strider, and a few older Buck's, my all time favorite is my ESEE/BRK collaboration Zancudo knife.

Apparently this is it now. I remember years ago going through different manufacturers like Kershaw etc. I'm actually moving toward small fixed blades right now.


I still have a soft spot for that heavy old Ka-Bar Mule.

Normal EDC when I'm not at work. ZT0350 blem from kershawguy.com, leatherman Sidekick, and a Spydercard that's been in my wallet for 15 years. And a coast G19 flashlight for good measure.

These two are alternates. Top is a Kershaw Oso Sweet that I accidentally broke the clip off of so I drop it in the pocket of my uniform pants at work. Bottom is a Kershaw Knockout that subs for the ZT for the few times I've left the ZT somewhere and needed something else to carry.

Give me a couple days and I'll round up my all my folders that I have for the outdoors. I also have a bunch that are still BNIB.
