What folders do you consider "Fast"

The ones that feel fast in hand, you pick then up and you can feel it.
Balance and speed. Moving them in hand is effortless and most the ones I find to possess this quality are long and thin.
Here's a pair that I find "fast" with the G-10 Police having a definite edge due to it's gripper handle.

Benchmade 710 is another one that has fine balance

The Benchmade 800 AFCK and the Spyderco Military are another pair that feel right in hand, IMO.

My fastest folders are a JYDII well broken in and a blackie collins auto (sidewinder) but that is auto. My spyderco endura is damn quick as well as a Kershaw Ken Onion "chive" I think it is.

id have to agree that the p3 and millie are probably my fastest "in hand".

light, long, thin. my jd smith seems pretty quick too.

Maybe I'm just not that smart, but I don't understand this question. "Fast in the hand"? What does it mean? If you're talking about changing handling positions and manipulation then I'd have to go with a Balisong as it can be opened and closed into different handling positions quite quickly. But then again I rarely use a knife in any position other than a normal utilitarian grasp on the knife.

My Military feels very fast due to the great ergos, light weight, and balance. My Police 3 felt great, and should be even faster when I get it back from Tom Krein next week. He reground it to a much thinner edge and pointier tip, so it should be even quicker as well as a supreme cutter due to it's recent weight loss treatment at the Krein Spa.

Out of all of my Benchmades, Emersons, and Spydercos the Military feels the most "alive".

I'm guessing this is due to it's rediculously light handle.

The other knife that feels exceptionally "fast" in the hand is my Spyderco Lava. Everyone should handle one at least once to understand and appreciate the design.

I agree that the millie is fast in the hand but I have a few others that are faster.

This is the fastest in hand knife I own and its even lighter than my CF millie.

Paramilitary for me!

I see many like the Military but the long handle sticks out of my hand at the bottom and makes it feel more clumsy than fast to me.

My favorite is the SOG Mini-Vulcan. It is very fast. I like the Spyderco Endura's, but I don't particularly consider them fast to bring to bear.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here with a biggie and say that the Camillus Maxx is probably my fastest handling folder. The lack of distinguished finger grooves and thin, smooth titanium handle allows you to change your grip very quickly, and the flipper/wave makes it quick to open as well.

same here, hadn't ever really thought about it.

but played with a few after reading the first post. i find with my p3 and millie i can change grips pretty quickly and not feel as though i am going to drop them. standard grip - reverse - choke up - etc. they are just very easy to manipulate due to the long and light handles. ymmv.
