what folders use carbon steel

I am not looking for d2 type of steel, more along the lines of 1095

Some Queen models have 1095 carbon steel blades. They may be out of production, I believe that they were stag folders. Great Eastern also makes some really nice folders with 1095, under the GEC and Tidioute line. I seem to remember a custom maker written up in Blade or TK recently that had a carbon steel blade for a tactical folder he made.

You could also look at the Case Cutlery line. Their carbon steel is called CV, for chrome-vanadium. Sharpens and patinas like any carbon steel.

Svord Peasant knives, wood or plastic handles, based on a couple hundred year old design.

Boker makes a lockback hunter in 1095, and slipjoints in both 1095 and 1075
Eye brand Forges a carbon steel for their knives.
Bear & son makes a carbon steel line using 1095, and a more expensive carbon steel damascus line

Kershaw makes CPM D2 knives, as well as carbon steel Damascus
Spyderco made CPM D2 millies and Paramillies. Both discontinued and especially the millie is getting tough to find. Spyderco is soon to be releasing a CPM M4 folder.

Benchmade makes D2, and CPM M4 knives, and used to make M2, which are tough to find now.

This info, combined with the above info on GEC, Queen Case, etc. shows that you should be able to find something you can get along with.

If you wanted to be more specific about blade length, lock type, steel type etc., we might be able to help narrow it down.

Thanks everyone,

However I was looking for a more modern design using carbon steel, I already have the traditional carbon folders

Once again I am not really interested in d2 or m4

What about getting a custon knifemake to make you a carbon steel balde for a production folder of your choice? (I know little about custom makers so I'm curious too)

Schrade Old Timers use good ol' 1095, I believe. If you can find one made in the U.S., it should make for quite a nice user.
Adding to that, there's always the Mercator K55K, the Douk-Douk, Okapi, and some other traditional style folders that employ carbon steel. I believe the Douk-Douk is 1075 and the Okapis are 1055, but I might be mistaken.

I think the modern made in china shcrades are using stainless now, i was pretty disappointed i used to love my schrades.
Just got my first opinel, love that!

More modern designs using carbon steel...
Certainly does sound like something that requires delving into customs. Have you explored the makers forums? Perhaps there's some information around there that might fit your needs.
