My birthday is coming up soon, and I'm curious what you guys would reccomend for me. I'd say my price range is at a max of $200. I like fairly large folding knives, but nothing over 4" really appeals to me. Other than that, I'm open to any suggestion!

I would suggest zero tolerance.

They are known to be beefy with decent fit and finish.

I already have an 0561 coming, so one might be lead to think I like their stuff ;)

I have a ps4 and micra, I like ps4 better (love the pliers), and will get the wave eventually (need more reasons to use it haha).

Lately I've been bit by the spyderco bug. Ordered a karahawk for my GF who loves waved knives.

Oh, I'd prefer pliers! PS4 sounds better, then.
I wish my girlfriend liked knives. I showed her a picture of the 0561, and she called it the "lumpy metal knife".

Haha! I find ZT to be lumpy in my pockets.

Still want one for my bag pack when hiking as a backup in case.

I will have to handle one next time I see it.

I will have a ZT by this year's end I swear!

A Southern Grind Bad Monkey fits your description pretty well... I got one a few weeks ago and am loving it.

You'll need to up your budget by about $60 though, but I think it's worth it. I can forget the thing is in my pocket.

I am a big fan of the Letherman PS4 and Juice, the Wave is nice for a full size one too. I am not sure what all is in your current collection and you said you already have a ZT coming so how about a Spyderco Military? If you can find a Combative Edge I would recommend on of those too, I really like the M1 in plain edge.

My favorite would be a Spyderco Paramilitary 2, perhaps a Sage 2, or Caly 3 or Caly 3.5 with ZDP steel. All under $200.

If you love great fit and finish go for a Hogue EX-01, if you're a steel junky maybe a 710 in M4 or a Contego in M390.
