What GEC should I pick up?

+1
As I read your post bluemetalchurch first in my mind was a 77.
Bob beat me to it and as usual he's absolutely right.

Is that the 77 Yankee Jack with Macassar Ebony? Man I love that Ebony!

Yes, thanks Bob. I just wish I could show it as nice as it is.
I was leery when I ordered it knowing it was light, glad I took the chance it's by far my favorite ebony.

There's no way to show the true color of the chatoyance :D of that reddish Macassar, and the black flecks and highlights in a picture. At least no way I could do it. I know Pertinux has some good pix of that material somewhere around here.

My favorite ..it's gonna be one me ..knife is my Pemberton. I love that little thing..

Man, I can't get enough of the grinling whitllers. And they can still be found in the primary market.

Maybe look at a single blade model of a GEC #92...

Good luck, OP! :)

To echo others, you can't go wrong with a GEC 73. I've had the single blade version previously, and it's great. Although, the pull can be a little strong on that pattern....or at least, that used to be the case.
