What gives you whiplash?

It's actually a swayback Jack.

Praise the Cutlery Gods!! ...and that other Wharncliffe I see!

If I were walking by a sale table and saw original vintage knives that weren't used or broken, that'd give me whiplash. :)

I like the looks of well worn, saw cut, Buck, Zytel. Also I like the looks of lighter, white bone, that yellows with age.

I like the SOUND a quality knife makes when it is opened and closed...It is a sound like no other mechanical noise ive ever heard and my ears are tuned to it..music..............FES

Hi Bro
This is a very interesting knife. I am going to do a thread about it and my thoughts on the knife. I'll try to do it today > Called, "Reading the knife".

Very best regards

Robin

Engraving on bolsters causes "whip lash", which leads to close inspection to determine if carved and not cast.

A pretty smile always makes me fall in love. Just how it is. When it comes to knives, what makes you do a double take or give you whiplash? For me it has to be bone handles. Lots of great patterns out there. You cannot beat pocket worn bone. One of my favorite knives my older Boker stockman with smooth worn scales. Lets see your head turners.

A large shield devoid of any maker name. I don't have any knives that fit this description, but I love the look of a classic jack knife, bone or wood scales, and a large classic shield with no markings. I don't know the specific names of all the shields used, but I particularly like the patterns that look like a propeller and cloud.
