What grade Canvas Micarta?

Ordering some larger (for me) sheets in 1/8 and 3/8 either for bulking up thin scale material as a liner or the 3/8 as the scales themselves.

1/4 scales with even a couple .030 liners behind seem too thin for me and a full 3/8 seem thick. I have quite a bit of 1/4 scale material I'd like to back with the 1/8 and then flatten to between 1/4 and 3/8.

Sooo that being said would I order the C or CE grade canvas phenolic sheets? For that matter what grade is preferred for linen as well?

Maybe for knife scales it doesn't make a difference.

Oh it matters man, i bought some thinking it didn't and it is like a cream color that just looks blah. No fibers in it. When I get home I'll look at my last mcmastercarr receipt. But I think there's a thread where fiddleback states what each one is. Give that a few googles and see what you find
