what grit sandblasting media for ti???

Hi, just getting into sandblasting, what grit should I go with? I've heard 80 grit AO a few times but heard it is really rough at first. should I just get something finer? I'm going for the nice blasted ti framelock finish btw. thanks dudes

I've been using 120 aluminum oxide and it works well for me. This one is blasted and then lightly sanded with 600 grit wet or dry.

If you want the fine satin bead blast use the silica glass bead, not AO. The glass bead gives it a shimmer and closer to a machine satin. It all depends on what you mean by "nice blasted". The grit and grit type can make a lot of different finish.

If you have a blast cabinet get both AO and Silica glass bead.... I prefer the glass bead on Ti.... I use 80 and 120 AO grit for many other projects and building fixtures or removing mill scale.

I went ahead and got 120 ao, works perfect. thanks for the suggestions all
