What handgun would your pair up with your favorite Khukuri?

Two weeks ago, I was visiting my friend's place in Oregon (Michael Bell - Dragon Fly Forge). I was doing some shooting out on his private range and shot a variety of things. The handgun that I used was my customized Glock 24 in .357 SIG. On my hip was my first H.I. Khukuri ( a 20" Sirupati given to me by my lovely wife). I did some advancing drills with the pistol and cutting targets (tatami rolls) with my Sirupati. One thing became apparent. Those two weapons are awesome together!!!

So, what's your favorite combo???

My 16.5" WWII and the model 29 Smith & Wesson .44 Mag match up pretty well for me. That .44 matches up with almost any blade that I have.:)

12" Villager AK and 2" S&W Model 64(with original walnut grips, not the rubber Hogues)

The 15" AK's fit better with my EAA Witness Compact .45. And once I get a real size khuk can match that to EAA FUll size I hope to buy. :)

I think that 30" AK that mamav showed in other thread probably matches up well to the new S&W .500. :D

16.5 Chirawa AK and my Glock 23. Loaded glock w/ extra mag are about the same weight. Excellent balance on the rig.

I'm dyin' over here. I've got my 15" BAS in hand, and I truly adore the critter. But right this moment I have three 18" Khuks sitting at the post office waiting for me to pick them up (Chitlangi, Sirupati and Gelbu Special) along with my daughter's 15" Surapati. I figure that the day after tomorrow will have a 2-lb 18" AK in the arms room, and a day or two after that my inbound 20" Kobra (dontcha just love Uncle Bill's sales?).

I don't know how any of those can muscle my beloved BAS into a 2nd or 3rd or 4th place position, but one might. I guess if the reviews are to be believed, it seems likely the Gelbu or Sirupati would be most likely to snag the 1st place position from a performance standpoint, but I have to say that I find the lines of the Chitlangi to be nigh irresistable, with the Siru being just about as attractive.

So, I'm guessing it will be one of those 18-inchers or perhaps my BAS will remain King of the Stable due to its all-around utility in a fairly compact size package.

For pistols? Tough choice. My favorite is my Colt Lightweight Commander, but my two-tone Black-T finished 1991A1 Commander or my Glock 23 might be a better choice for humping through the boonies.

On the other hand, my late '70's vintage Browning Hi-Power seems a natural match for a Khukuri -- still, I prefer my bullets start out fairly wide.

I found a peach-colored USPS slip in my door when I got home this evening, too. I think it's my 18" and 21" Gelbu Specials. :D Can't wait 'til chow time tomorrow when I can drive over to the post office. Gonna terrorize the Orderly Room, then go out front of my company and remove those dead banana trees that have been annoying me for the last month. Free advertisement for Uncle Bill...

My Malla and S&W Model 57 41 magnum. Both {khuk and cartridge}are kind of underdogs in the popularity department, but they fit me like gloves. :)

Day hiking: S&W 649 with 18" Gelbu Special...

Back country: Colt Anaconda with Chiruwa AK...

Just for kicks: Glock 17 with 15" Sirupati.

T1mpani, I think a Malla and a .41 Mag would be awesome.

13"(NICKNAMED"THE MONSTER)K that Sarge sent me with a Smith 442,18"GS with my H&K K3,16 or 18"WW2 with my Detonics! We better stop here ,cause I can keep going for a "long" time!!
THE SAINT!
PS-Before "everyone" starts giving me a hard time(which I NEVER deserve)I put the 13"K up there for Sarge's benefit!Course I would NEVER carry THAT!! Ahhh! NO!! IT ain't for sale! Not ever!!

I only have one handgun. A Sig 220 in .45acp. I would team that up with my 18" horn AK by Bura that is on the light side for that model. It feels more like a WWII.

For me I reckon it would depend on the threat scenario, i.e., hunting dangerous critters = magnum revolver, hunting dangerous humans = high capacity autoloader.

Sarge

Sarge

BINGO!

That is why the .44. Sorry Sarge, if I can't see my target I'm not going to shoot and if I can I have a pretty high scoring record of one shot hits.
Just the way I was taught from about the age of seven.:)

My favorite handgun is my colt Python.

My favorite khukuri is my 18 inch Chitlangi.

I think they're a pair to draw to.

Yeah, the Python is neat too. Truth be told, it'd probably be whichever one I felt like on the day. Shoot, I might even whip out a Colt Peacemaker. :)

I'm not 21 yet so it's gonna be my 16.5 inch WWII and pellet gun!

Very likely a sig 220 ST or some 1911 in the future.
