That'd be way cool!!!:thumbup: My pair of Tony Lama's from back in the 70's don't fit me anymore... :(

No 'dillos by the side of the road around here...just woodchuck, raccoon, and skunk...and, in the Fall, lots of deer by the side of the road...*lots* of 'em...On a trip from Buffalo to Cleveland one year, I counted 7 of them by the side of the road...and that's just the ones who couldn't crawl off into the woods... :barf:

You never see the cars that hit them, though...What's up with that???...

Trust me Trax, a deer will bust a car up real good.

OK...but shouldn't there be a damaged car parked nearby??? NYS Thruway is not all that prompt with stranded motorists; on any day you can expect to see a couple cars parked on the shoulder/meridian with cloths stuck in the window...

I vividly recall seeing half of a deer sitting on the shoulder...the back half...the front half was nowhere to be seen...and no sign of a damaged car either...

Is that car still on its way to Cleveland, with half a deer jammed in the grille???

Well the one time I was in a car that got hit by a deer...notice I said the car got hit...damn thing just ran out of the black into the side. Car was still drivable but the body shop bill was over $2000 and this was the early 80s.

I'm just assuming that most are as you say:
still on its way to Cleveland,

Poor 'dillo :( I am really really prostrated with that photo
For me is much easier to see dead people then dead animals killed by people.

'Trax, in TX there is a folk saying
that folk saying is that boots made of dillo will flip the person with them on !..
that dillo's have been seen to jump up and flip when hit by bright light at nite..

as to deer hits omg i hade real bad luck years ago..
in a dodge 3/4 that did in over 9 deer
4 in sc and 5 or 6 in san lois abispo cal..
refered to it as my 30 cal dodge
hit one in my cutlass and one in a ford half ton in sc also
never hit one in tx or fla.. or here
now some thing that happened here in West by god
the state law makers passed a law
making it legal to pick up road kill!
like what? beats me i jest live here

( I am really really prostrated) I see dead people.

Poor mhasman,

Maybe you should take up hunting and that feeling would go away:p:D LOL. Sorry man, I just could not help myself. I'm an avid hunter and like to see photo's of game taken and Buck knives in action.

Oh...and not to jack this thread to much. I'd like to see Dave's Rubber Bucky handles on that AG 110 in my hand skinning that tasty Buck.

the sprite of rubber bucky Lives!

Poor 'dillo ...

that dillo looks like a car hit...
many critters are hit by cars every day...
it is sad it was for nought that they died
but unless you are one to give up and walk or ride horses
it is life as it is today..

the answer is to allow more hunting so as to reduced road kill
that way they get eaten and dont die for nothing..

trophy hunting ..
nothing wrong with that as long as you eat what you kill

nuisance critters like the 20 stray cats two folks on this street feed
that have no rabies shots..:eek::mad:
that get in to my garbage cans
and use my food garden for a litter box
they make good moving target practice! ;)
and when i bury them they feed the trees!;)

and so as to not up set the feline lovers on line here
strays dogs are equal opportunity targets! :)

Hawkeye, I think you need to put that critter in a box and send it on to 334Dave - LOL.

yep sir riee!
any one want to send me dillo's
jest gut them out--- let em shells dry
box em up and send on !!
dogs targets?
yea ... jest kidding alright..;)

i call the pound on loose domesticated dogs ..
had to say that to keep dang cat people happy.and
i like cats had several my self for years, i got them shots ect.

and really i mostly cage catch the cats and take to pound
in tolor the man that ran the dairy next door...so many drop offs
he had to shoot them they got wild and sick other wise!

dont know any vick
dog hater you know?

Michael Vick; football player convicted of dog fighting/gambling. It was in all the papers...

This guy! I picked up a couple of these for my dogs when they first came out. Just seemed fitting.
