will stay on the internet FOREVER!

we really had a good time. Got there Friday night after a LONG few hours in the car w/ the kids. We left this morning. The weather wasn't the best. It started raining around dinner time Saturday and was still drizzling when we left this morning! Despite the rain we made it through. There was lots of laughing and some walked away w/ some nice, new (or new to them) spoils.

Texasrng (Richard) is the dirtiest RAT of em all. He won the title by axing his own ankle.

perhaps roasting hot dogs on old painted wire hangers is how Richard won the dirtiest RAT title!

I have no pics of his wound. I was too busy cleaning and bandaging it.

 who has the bigger weiner?

TTD and The Beav!

Richard, whatcha got there?

The Beav snubbing Mr.S to sit w/ TTD. DAMN TTD sweats like a skunk ape!

Beav tried stealing my hat within minutes of me getting it!

NOTHING was private at the RAT fest.

There shall be many more funny stories and pics when everyone else uploads them. I'll let ya'll start w/ some of my photos. Sorry there are no pics of cardboard Jeff. He didn't fair well in the rain so I kept him in my tent.

Nice! Looks like a really fun time. I wish I was closer to y'all. Looking foward to more pics and stories

Looks like fun. Really wished I could be there but sometimes there's just not enough time in a week.

We had a really good time.

Despite the rain and the dog pissing on my sleeping bag in the middle of the night, I still enjoyed it.

TTD made some fantastic salmon on an open fire, the Mrs. made some chicken pot pie and Shawna made chilli, both in a dutch oven. We all chopped a metric s*^t-ton of wood for the fire. I aquired a fine example of my favorite machete, a Tramontina in 20" with a leather sheath from Tony, Richard gifted me a bunch of cool gadgets, I came within an inch of talking him out of his fixed Rittergrip (It will be mine Richard.;) )

Tony's wife Frankie was the only one with the gumption to do any fishing in the rain. We did do alot of slingshot frog hunting, with no positive results.

I can only hope it's bigger and even more fun next year!

Even with the rain it looks like a great campout-friends,kids,and RATS.Don't get no better !!!

We had such a good time. The weather could have been a little bit better... ;) But rain sure didn't ruin our party! The trade blanket was fun. All the guys acted like it was Christmas morning! I brought a small cast iron skillet that Franki fell in love with at first sight! I'm so glad to have that go to a good home. I got some cool stuff from TTD. We all ate, we cleaned, we ate some more. It was great!

Oh yes. BACON was had by all!

Kayla was trying to get Richard to go "hunt" for animals. Dinosaurs and penguins were on the top of the list.

Some of the kids down by the creek, looking for trouble.

This wasn't planned. We're dorks. Don't hate!

... enter the dirtyRat award! Mrs. S, I think you saved his whole foot! ;)

I ended up bringing home a RC3. Oddly enough I don't have any pics of it. I used it like mad making the chili. It is awesome. Thanks Jeff!

You guys look like ya'll had so much fun.....I hate that I missed it....Ya'll got me haten the scouts......I will be there in spring....even if I have to skip some scouts bs......I think my boys would have more fun with ya'll than with scouts anyway..

Times were good. Guess Richard is too embarrassed to show his face tonight.:p and yes he would have totally lost that food had I not been there. ok, not really but it probably would still be bleeding.

I told him there was a post up. He asked "How bad?" I told him you were "nice" about it. ;) He is icing his ankle. It bruised bad and has some swelling. Could've been WAY worse.

If you haven't done it yet, try some pineapple upside down cake done in the dutch oven on your next trip. It is freaking awesome! I don't know if it's just the fact that you're eating something so unexpected out in the wilderness or what, but for some reason it seems to always be a trip highlight. Looks like a great trip!

 Yes I will! Make it just like regular right? Or is there a "dutch oven" way to make it?

There's two problems with this RATfest that I can see. Number one, I don't see any booze. Number Two, Hannah Montana! :D
