Wow, this is the only one! Stupid rain!

There's two problems with this RATfest that I can see. Number one, I don't see any booze. Number Two, Hannah Montana! :D

There was booze. There was buttery and frosty nipples passed around. Of course beer and even a couple wiskey sours. A shame it rained. That kinda kaboshed the picture taking. :(

see bacon!

and the hannah montana chair is TTD's! i know he has terrible taste in chairs. what can i say?

and YES the orange crate was booze and syrup. b/c you can't have one w/o the other. or i needed somewhere to pack my pancake syrup ;).......guess you'll never know :p

Looks like everyone had a good time, glad to see it was a "family affair". Glad to see a bunch of happy kids and wives :)
My wife and I cannot wait to attend one of these gatherings.

yes i do hope to see more people and less rain next time. Jeff has a woodlands op in April so we'll pick a date that, HOPEFULLY, he can attend. there's always the back up of kidnapping him ;).

Thanks for posting up the pictures so that we can enjoy them! Looks like y'all had a good time. I'm sorry I wound up not being able to make it.

I hope you are able to finalize a date soon for a Spring gathering, so I can reserve it on my calendar.

 Yes I will! Make it just like regular right? Or is there a "dutch oven" way to make it?

Shawna - Just as you would imagine preparring it in the outdoors, but theres something extra delicious about the dutch oven cooking the brown sugar, butter, pineapple...ummm!

I'll see if I can fiind my actual recipe and send it to you, but its pretty easy. This is pretty close : http://papadutch.home.comcast.net/~papadutch/dutch-oven-recipe-upsidedowncake.htm

We had a trip one time where a guy that posts regularly to BBQ University made a desert with yellow cake mix and rootbeer, and I think fruit cocktail. Called "Dump Cake" I think. That was a hit too! Enjoy!

so you're gonna make a cake next time Shawna?

i'm looking at march for the next get together. I need to talk to jeff and see if the date works for him. Our kids have off March 15-19 so we could do Friday- Sunday of that week.

I sure will! I will need to "practice" a bit before then. Too bad. ;)
