What Happened to Black Bear Knives?

Does anybody know what happened to Black Bear Knives? They use to make these folding knives that were very Emerson-like (G10 handles and chisel ground blades). I remember seeing their knives on BHQ about 4-5 years ago when I first got into knives.

Google them, a company with that same name comes up in Boone, North Carolina, making knives. John

I came across that outfit in my research too, but it doesn't even seem like the same company to me unless they downsized a ton and went in a totally different direction with their knives. Those guys are making handmade fixed blades.
