What happened to Carbon V?

Could someone tell me what happened to Cold Steel Carbon V knives??? I haven't been able to find a definite answer why Cold Steel is no longer making Carbon V models. I've heard speculation, but does anyone know for sure why their high carbon models aren't being made? I appreciate any information you can give. Their Carbon V was my favorite working steel.

I just checked the Cold Steel website and I still see carbon v steel on many of the blades? Are they selling the remaining carbon v and not making anymore?
