That was all he could stand, he could stand no more; He was mad as hell and refused to take it anymore.

Also, your constant rejections to his marriage proposals set him over the edge, Code.

By the way, I am the NEWEST GODERATOR AT W&C!!
Be sure to read my rules.

As for me refusing Para's "advances"....he dosen't like me, and wouldn't piss on me if I was in the middle of the desert dying of thirst!!!!

When Para first agreed to become moderator for the general forum, his main condition was that he'd do it until it ceased being fun.

As of late it's become more difficult and time consuming than enjoyable, and we respect his decision to step down.

Let me reiterate - he was not removed from his position, nor did we ask him to step down; we think he's done an excellent job here and there will be a position for him whenever he feels up to rejoining the team.

Otherwise, I'm going to be accepting applications for moderators soon, please check out the thread asking for them when I post it.

I do hope that Para will continue to take part in these forums. If not he will be missed.

I had to say : YES !!!!!!!

I always wonder how a moderator like him can work here 24 hours a day?
How much thousands of $ does this job bring?

My respect to all of you!

I agree with the people here that Para will be missed. I enjoyed his posts and feel he did an excellent job as moderator. I hope he reconsiders his decision and returns soon.

Para,
I honestly was a little surprised to be reading this thread. I hope that everything is OK with you.

I just wanted to let you, and everyone else here, know that you did a great job at moderating and I hope that you will return and take part in future discussions.
I would hate to see you, or any moderator for that matter, leave the forums because they stepped down from their moderator position. I think that you will find that others feel the same way too and will welcome you back to this community with open arms.
I'm sure that you still have plenty to contribute to BFC. It's been such a large part of your life lately so why leave now?

Para, I'll be looking out for your next post so that I can welcome you as a "regular member".

Trust me, these Forums are a tough place to be at times. I speak from personal attacked experience. All the best Para and thanks for the advice you gave me. If it had not been for you and the others who I now consider friends for convincing me not to leave I would not still be here. He is one of the best and I will miss him if he leaves. I think personal attacks aught to be put on a three strikes and your out basis (without justification of course!). It is my belief that we need to behave like we would face to face. If someone spoke the way some do to my face I would walk away and think what a prick. You know who you are! I was one for a while back there

No offence intended, but a point I think quite a few agree with. Want to insult? Go to W&C. I don't go there, I don't think sticking my you know what in someones face is a good or witty thing to do. I leave that for others.

I am new to BladeForums, but had come to enjoy reading your posts, Para. You will still participate, I hope? (under a new name?)

Thanks, Russ

Thanks all for your kind words. They are greatly appreciated.

I resigned for my own selfish reasons. No one is too blame for this but me. My emotional armor is a little thin right now, and it became clear to me that I could not effectively moderate this site. I was trying too hard to be understood, and failing. So it is best for me and for the forums that I step aside.

I still plan to hang around and contribute when I am feeling a little more inspired.

What is most important to me is to share my passion for knives with other knife knuts. Recently, being a moderator has got it the way of my being able to enjoy the forums as a place to have fun, learn, and have positive relations with people I respect and admire. So I resigned.

Everyone should give their full support to David Baker, and the rest of the new moderator team when they are appointed . They will need everyone's understanding, and trust in order for this site to continue to be the most fantastic discussion forum on the net.

See ya'll around!

Brad, I'm glad to see you finally posted here, and I hope your decision to step down allows you to get back to having some fun.

I think alot of folks are just plain gettin mean around here. If you don't like the job a moderator is doin, apply for the job yourself and shut your cakehole!

Para,

I'm glad you are still around. You have too much to contribute on BF to leave. I wish you'd reconsider and accept a moderating position again (poor David is gonna have his hands full!)

Take care,
Chris

Para has been, and will continue to be, one of the members who has my full respect. Not only for his knowledge and love of Great Knives, but for his keen-edged intellect and humor.
And L6, I couldn't agree with you more. TGB&U has never seen so much traffic. Too much of it is just plain U.

Para,
Glad to see you are still around. Being newer here and often silent, I always looked for your insight. You have helped us all.

Life is good..........
