So a good friend of the family lost his job on new years! what a shame they could of waited until after the holidays. well anyway he has a couple small children and he is an only parent. he was real real worried and concerned so i helped him out with a few hundred bucks to help hold him over until he can find another job. which really puts a halt on me buying any knives this month :(

Well its going to delay me a few weeks on getting the m-18 and i just read today that the ratweiler will be coming back out :) glad i have a few months to recover from "his" situation!

That was good of you. I'm sure it'll come back to you in one form or another. When I've helped out true friend, it seems that the payback is usually far greater than money could ever cover.

It was one of those things where you really dont have any choice. Even tho he is a good friend of the family for many years, if it wasnt for his children i would not of gave him the money in all honesty. He is not very responsible and lost his job due to just being lazy and coming in hung-over multiple times, if it was just him id make him suffer to learn a lesson, but i cant let those babies suffer for his ignorance. I did tell him if he puts those kids into a situation like that again i would make sure he could never have another child again.

Well I don't know about other people but I hate accepting money from a friend (or anyone really), especially to cover my own mistakes; hopefully he feels the same and shapes up if not for you at least for his kids.

Don't know yet. I'm tempted, but I've also got the original. Hard to beat, methinks.
