What happened??

What a load of manure... I fall into the older "millennial" end of the spectrum... While it's true I've not ever had a factory job, you can bet your high dollar knives that pride in one's work isn't extinct. I'm not usually one to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty darned good at what I do, and have been doing for my entire adult life. Most of that time as a business owner...

If not sticking with a job that treats you like crap is a bad thing, then I guess I'm guilty. Not gonna waste my life punching a clock for a bunch of dicks like my dad and grandad did. I'll trade fame and fortune for seeing my kids every day and being involved with their lives... Not to mention helping out the senior members of the family.
are you one of these kids with their rap music?

are you one if these kids with their rap music?
I'll admit to jamming to Coolio and Snoop on occasion...🤣 I'm no longer super picky about how I get my musical fix. If I like it I'll listen.

Suppose I should answer the OP too: I haven't gotten a knife with any glaring issues in a while. Even if I do, if it's something I can fix myself I don't usually worry about it. If it gets put in my pocket with any regularity it's going to look like it got dragged behind a truck in short order anyway.

Welcome, OP. Maybe try out the Exchange ? From a good seller you’ll get photos of the actual knife, description of even minor issues if there are any, and the name of an individual who has a reputation to loose.

Part of the problem you observe might be the many and fast limited releases that have become the norm over the pandemic. I now stay away from these - not worth the effort.

No wonder I can't understand any Shakespeare!

That's your opinion. Search on quiet quitting.

American manufacturing problems are not brand new !

In the late '50's , my poor Pap ,bought a brand new , Charcoal Pink Convertible .

He was just so very happy and proud , for the entire 100 or so miles , it actually worked .

The super modern , futuristic , innovative , but sadly half-assed, Ford Edsel ! 💩

that isn't new. its been going on since before i started working. my grandfather and old man told me stories of employees doing this. I've seen it myself over many decades. the only difference is it wasn't named and talked about on social media that didn't exist.
Exactly, there's trash in every generation... Judging the rest of that age demographic based on the dregs isn't exactly the best way to go about it.

Hey thanks for the welcomes peeps. Wasn’t trying to come in and start dumping poop on companies from my baggy jeans while banging my rap music. But had to ask.

If it was small issues like needing to be sharpened or loose hardware etc. then I have no issues. But when it affects the usability and safety I can’t justify it. Even if they are very limited in numbers.

Think that’s part of the problem though. Most people that get something that’s hard to find and it has issues will not go through the hassle to have it fixed. Takes two days to get said knife and then two months for warranty repair on a brand new knife.

If I pay for something I expect it to be right. I work hard for my loot. Companies need to earn my money.
