Is it recalled? Is it a crime? Do you lose posting privileges?
There MUST be some penalty. What about holidays?

If I leave my home without one I feel naked!! as far as punishment no one could punish me as well as I can for forgeting it!!!....lol!!!! ;)

It depends on what you carry instead.

For example, if you don't use the "every day" plates for a day because you're having guests and want to use your fancy stuff, well, that's ok. And if you don't use your "every day" plates because someone has invited you over for dinner or you decide to eat out, well, that's ok too.

If you don't carry your every day knife because you're carrying your fancy dress knife, well, that's ok. And if you don't carry your every day knife because you're traveling by air, appearing in court, etc., well, that's ok too.

You should never leave without your EDC's unless you are traveling :( or in jury duty :( (me on Jan 6) As far as neglecting your EDC's for dress carry, get a knife that can work as both such as the Umfaan, small Seb, Mnandi, CRKT S2, BM 300 series, etc etc.

That would NEVER happen with me, (unless I happen to be running out of a girlfriends' house nekkid 'cause her husband got home from work alittle early.:D.:D.).

I NEVER leave home without MY EDC's. Never.

Not carrying your EDC is probably a symptom of a serious disorder - not having enough knives. The only known cure is to immediately increase spending towards your knife habit.

If you have an excuse like "I can't carry, it's illegal" then.. well.. I guess you're excused, but only temporarily. Such as, until jury duty is over, or until you can find a way to move the heck out of the United Kingdom.

If you have a nice, big and expesive collection and you're still not carrying, the best solution is to get out of the knife game.

Do this by immediately sending all your knives to me. Then, to help kick the habit, anytime you have the craving to buy a knife, go ahead and buy it and have it shipped directly to me.

In a short 3-9 years, you'll hardly miss collecting knives at all. :)

Darn someone beat me to it :D

Forget my knife! Never happened I know I would feel naked though... How embarrising to be caught with out a knife.

Should a Knut be banned for doing this

LOL! You mean it might even "close up" on the negligent carrier? Reminds me of one of my big pet peeves, when you hear guys say that their slipjoint knife "closed up on them." WRONG! A knife cannot close on you. A pocketknife is an inanimate object and cannot do anything unless you make it do it. You close a knife on yourself. You push a blade in a certain direction, if that results in it folding closed with your finger in the way .... well, just don't say the knife closed on you. 'Course if you're calling it an EDC but not really carrying it ED, then you just might deserve a good closing up on. :D

Having had that problem a time or two I can say that the next time you use your knife BE CAREFUL! You will be out of practice and something BAD will happen...I have the scars to prove it!:p

Said knife will become jealous and find some way of cutting you. You must carry all your knives at all times to be safe.

This is because you don't have enough knives on you, if I forget my EDC there are backups to backups, even if I'm nekid I still have a knife on my necklace,(right now it's a Titanium Spyderco Mini Police):D

One last thing,(don't tell anyone!) when I go to jury duty I always have my EDC and a backup, I work for the county and my ID card bypasses the metal detector at the county courthouse.

A mouse is helpless when surrounded by cats just like a man/woman is helpless without something to cut something/self defense I guess.
