What has happen to the Emerson Knife Forum

About a year and a half ago the foum was like a black friday sale where there were new threads daily, lots of people posting photo of their bare bones stock Emerson's, pimp out Emersons, and Customer by Mr. E Emerson Emerson's.

Lately the forum is suffering from not much activity. My observation, and I wonder why?

Something else in vogue, I am still loyal to my Emerson's as they work daily, not very exciting tasks, and very well.
 
I have noticed that as well. Perhaps the individuals from that time frame have already educated themselves in all that is Emerson and have nothing to chat about. There are a few new folks that have recently come to this corner and hopefully more in the future to keep this corner active. There is also the chance that most topics have been covered and are referenced by way of actually using the search function vs just discussing it only to have someone chime in saying they should use the search function. I certainly welcome any new folks and topics worth discussing.
 
Hey I am one of the newer guys around here. I check in and read through the posts in this area a couple times a day. I check out some posts in other areas of the forum but I don't post much as I feel I don't really have much to add or experience with different Emersons. I kinda am just trying to learn a thing or two from yall. Hope to have a new set of scales for my A-100 after the holidays then I will post up some pics. I had been addicted to fishing the last 4-5 yrs but work and life has me too busy to fish what I used to so I was looking for a new blade and kinda have turned to knives as I can use them all day any day. I am currently lusting after a patriot. Anxious to see the christmas knives Mr. Emerson has cooked up. Glad to hang around and read what you guys have to share, look forward to adding more in the future.
 
All forums come and go. This one is no different. It is what it is.
 
i always lurk around - only got my custom cqc8 at the moment so nothing new for you guys to see...

but my first production emerson may just be around the corner !!! :D

Once I got my 8 into rotation, I realized I did not need to talk to you poseur wankers anymore. ;)

Anyhow, I did buy a Combat Karambit (don't like it) and have a CQC7B coming from the mothership as I type this. So I might start asking stupid questions soon.
 
My emersons haven't seen a ton of pocket time lately, cause my knife drawer is almost overflowing with new stuff, and I know I absolutely love my horseman and cqc7 so I figure if I don't carry them a while I'll appreciate them later on. Although, I've been eying the mutant, but I'll wait for the Christmas knives.
 
I remember getting on here just to browse about what you guys had to say and talk about way before I even had an emerson..

Now I have one and no one wants to talk lol

Same way I got a Hinderer XM-18 right after the sub-forum closed! :D

Now I have to decide whether to carry the CQC-12 or the XM-18...tough decisions. ;)
But no one will care which one I carry, judging by the slow down...


When I win the lottery or become king of Canada, then I'll post pictures of the new Emerson that arrives daily. :thumbup:

Typical LOL. I say what the heck carry them both.. I would understand if it was a 24 though.

I have noticed a lot of activity increase in the emerson groups on facebook. Everyone might be going there because the instant notifications. I know it's hard to keep up when someone quotes you and so on. I usually comment in a thread and forget because I'll go to another and by the time I go back there will have been several more pages added so I'm out of the loop.
