• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

    Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I like going to flea markets , antique stores ... I see a lot of old axes and hatchets. Sometimes they are cheap. What are some of the names I should watch for? I know Marbles is suppose to be a good one.

also keep an eye out for collins axe co. they were the premier producer of axes and machetes up until around the 1950s-60s. then they went under, unfortunately, but they had been producing for a long time (i want to say more than a century at that point) so there are alot of samples floating around, and alot of them are in good shape.

there are many other brands that are out there...if you can take a small file and scratch the edge to see if its hard, and just buy ones that are in good general condition without too much rust or edge damage etc...

Norlund is another to watch for,and so is HB (Hults Bruks).The HB will be inside a circle with ''Sweden'' stamped directly below.

All the above PLUS====>
Bridgeport
And
Good, old fashioned "U.S." military hatchets.................
