What have I got here?

that might be from the parts bin era when they were going down. theres a bunch of knives released that dont make any rhyme or reason with their number schemes.

Interesting point. I did not know they had a parts bin era, but it makes sense. It really seems to be a pretty well made knife, I was pleasantly surprised when I got it.

Queen's normal "Big Q" shielded knives ran in 2-3 year handle cycles. Cocobolo rosewood was from approx. 2001-2003, natural carved stag bone from 2003-2005, bird's eye maple from 2006-2007, amber carved stag bone from 2008-2010, curly zebra wood from 2011-2012 when Daniels took over.

I have been searching for a guide of stamps or really any good info on these knives. There’s a lot of information about all the other variations, but I think I’ve gotten more knowledge on this knife in this thread than I did searching the internet.
If you look on the Queen Cutlery History or the Queen Cutlery Guide websites, they have a 12 page tang stamp guide going over every stamp ever made, and the years they were used. I worked with a team of Queen Historians to help compile all the information and put it out so collectors could use it.
