I just sent the first 10 blades off to Peter's for HT. Five are the santokus, five are smaller. The smaller
are all spoken for. One santoku is going in the KITH this year if I get it finished in time (at least one
and preferably two of the smaller blades have to be done before Thanksgiving), one santoku will be my
first kitchen test knife of AEB-L. Don't know what I'll do with the other three... That's assuming I
don't manage to ruin any of them of course.
That only leaves:
- 15 CPM 3V blades: 6 paring, 3 filet and 6 neckers. All but the neckers that I just decided to make
out of scraps are ground and hand sanded to rough. They'll be the next lot to go to Peter's once
they're all sanded to finer finishes.
- 14 CPM S35VN blanks to grind. 12 parers and two just for the hell of it.
- The rest are AEB-L: 6 skinny little blades, 6 gyutos of various sizes, 4 Chinese cleavers and 2 carving
knives. Oh, and I have some AEB-L scraps that might turn into something too...
Oh yes. I'm finally getting my induction forge hooked up. That should be a wee bit of distraction
