What have others admired about your CRKs?

Never had anyone show any interest without being prompted. I wish I had friends that would at least take a closer look at things like the pivot or notice anything like that.

Nobody admires my knives ever.. Even when I show it to them they just don't understand. I show this one guy at the gym one of my new knives and he looks at them for a couple seconds and hands them back and say 'cool". But these types never carry anything more than a gas station knife on them even though I show them mine. So can't really expect them to admire anything I have.

Only time I ever run across knife guys is at shows like the Blade Show.

Exactly the same happens to me.. The only things that the majority of friends or colleagues tell me, are "yes cool, but how much do you get paid for it? Whaaaat??? Are you crazy???"
How sad...
Only on forums like this, or on Facebook, some people really appreciate the quality of CRK

unless they are a knife person then most don't get it... its just a knife... just like most don't appreciate a merkel double shotgun unless they are a gun person

The same for me. Most know I love my knives but have really no interest in something that expensive. Now a picture of your Merkel please, I have a old 20 ga SKB 700 with the same greener lock. Love that lock up and love doubles! Do not think my SKB is on the same level as your Merkel but do love it on quail and pheasant.

I had a buddy move back to the area after 8 years of being in another state. We were catching up and knives came up. I pulled out a Sebenza 21 and showed it to him. He took it, ran it through a quality test( blade play, lock up feel, opening/closing and eyeballing the F/F). He couldn't get over how well it was built. For a minute, didn't think I was getting it back.
He's been the only one ever to do that to one of my knives. Most just want a specific price range if they're looking for a knife.

I was using my ti-lock this morning and my sister's fiancé was enamored with it. Like many of us, he has heard of the brand but never had the chance to handle one. He was also hesitant about the cost. I showed him the four CRKs I have, and he's going to be ordering his own soon. I'm not proud to say that now I'm just part of the problem :)

I gave up trying to share my passion for knives with others. They really don't get it and are shocked when you mention the price. I actually avoid talking about it now.
My feelings exactly, they either try like hell to close it without pushing the lock bar to the left or find the lock bar and push it to the right with all they can muster (towards the presentation side). At that point I am saying stop and just hand it back over

Well it does take most people a minute to figure it out. (Maybe many more if if it's my Ti-lock)
