What have you bought multiple times?

Maybe 7 Militaries.

Guessing 5 Delicas.

2 Enduras.

5 Sodbusters.

4 Case Peanuts.

Multiple Buck 110's and Schrade LB7's.

Probably 15 multitools, though I don't know if that counts.

About 5 Vic Farmers.

I'm on my fourth Opinel, but each one's a little different.

-Opinel #8 in carbon steel
-Opinel #6 in carbon steel
-Opinel #8 Garden tool with the drop-point blade and slimmer handle
-Opinel #8 slim line with greater upswept blade and thinner blade width

I had a Camillus Cuda EDC that I was sure I had lost forever, so I bought another one just before Camillus went under.

Then I found the first one, so I had two.

Now, once again, I think I have lost one of them for good. I hope I find it (again).

3 Strider SmF's
2 Busse Tank Busters
2 CS Recon 1's
2 Spyderco Military's

At one point I had multiple Pacific Salts, Atlantic Salts, Dodos, Yojimbos, Barongs, and Kershaw RAMs. But most of my duplicates were sold or traded away. This is one of my favorite pics from a year or so ago right before most of these were traded.

I never see Yojimos mentioned around here. Always wanted to try one. What do you think of them?

Knives that I keep going back to (after trading or selling them off) are:

Spyderco Military
Spyderco Endura 4
Buck 110
Benchmade Griptilian
Cold Steel Recon 1
Kershaw Blur

Everything else I just used once and got rid of. These are the ones that I am willing to obtain if I ever don't have them in my collection.

I like the design but the lock doesn't work so well for me as a lefty, closing the knife forces my fingers into a very compromising situation so it didn't fit my intended role as a quick open/close folder for work use.

From a functional standpoint, it works exactly like you think it would. Big, comfy handle with a large front handle choil for control and the ability to choke up for fine work.

It does have a reverse design cue from most Spydercos though. The middle and ring finger are pushed out by the handle (most Spyderco designs suck them in) and control mainly comes from the wrist, when gripped normally. A different sensation that works fine but is a little unusual. The pocket clip could be a little shorter but that's more preferential than anything else.

Being a wharncliffe type pattern the blade cuts very well and has an extremely fine point. Steel is S30V, which is very good and the profile makes it easy to sharpen and maintain.

I was really sad to see the Yojimbo go, like the Dodo it had too much handle and not enough blade for the average knife buyer and just wasn't understood by a lot of prospective users. One could argue that the reason we have the Cats/Chicagos right now is because not many wanted to buy a short-bladed knife with a regular size handle, the market will dictate. Which is a shame because the Dodo form factor just isn't seen and would be a valuable asset to the modern, politically concious knife user. Now that Michael Janich is back with Spyderco I would seriously consider buying another if there was a Sprint Run.

Sorry for the rant. :)

Here's a post with some pics on my blog.
