Today I had to jump start a car but had no jumper cables with me so had to buy some and open them. I used my Buck Strider 881sp to cut open the stubborn cardboard packaging and then to slice through the thick plastic zip ties on it. I was surprised at how easily it snapped them off. It was well below freezing here today so it was nice to have the textured g-10 to hang onto since I was losing feeling in my hands by the time I was using the knife. I could have opened the cardboard packaging without the knife but I could not have gotten the zip ties off very easily without it.
Today I used my new (and beloved (is that sick?)) Skirmish to cut a ham sandwich in half, slice the packing tape holding a box together, and cut off some little branches from the tree in front of the front door which were getting too close to where we walk.
Yesterday I used my Buck Strider 882 SBT to break down a bunch of boxes for recycling, got the mail, and then cut open a padded envelope my new Benchmade Rescue Stryker was in (I then used the R-Stryker to cut the envelope to ribbons ) Today I used my Dodo to open the mail, a bag of Chex mix, and some DVD wrappers. I probably could have used my teeth or keys for most of that, but just wouldn't seem quite right....
opened all kinds of bags of old bread today to feed my cows, took some time to work on a throwing stick ,used my cold steel srk to break ice on the cows water tank, cut open a bag of dog food for the hounds and opened some feed bags. That was today
