What have you done with a Sog Tomahawk? Worth it?

CRKT said "not for throwing" that's light use. You might not believe it, but the manufacturer seems to.

So you don't own one. As a knifemaker said in a different thread, throwing a tomahawk puts an ungodly amount of force on the steel. I've seen some of these tomahawks perform very well, including people throwing them with no problem. Just because it was not designed to be thrown, i don't believe that restricts it to light use. I don't exactly see the practical side of throwing one anyways. Maybe for defense, but then you've just thrown it and if you miss?

I don't own one. The overly skeletonized handle is a poor design. If you have such high opinions of it, by all means purchase one. I will stick with sturdier implements.

I'm sorry i mean no disrespect. I may end up with one of these and try it out. Out of all the reviews i've actually only heard of one braking.

I keep one in my truck, and I had to use it to clear a downed tree that was blocking the road last summer. I did Ok (for what it is), but it chipped out upon contact with the ground (must have hit some small rocks in the dirt).
