What have you done with your Hinderer TODAY....

mmassey, is smoke master flex!! Looks great! You're invited anytime to invite me to one of those, haha! ;)

Cut up some steak and eggs for breakfast, did a little yard work then snapped this pick before heading outdoors. The slicers gonna be with me all day.

Did a mild reprofile to a slightly convexed 21.25° on my 3.5 Slicer using my Wicked Edge. Slightly sharper, but taking it too much further will probably affect the edge retention. Only went as far as 3.5µ diamond paste on balsa to retain a bit of toothiness.

I assume you really meant toothiness (rather than toothless) as i would agree that 3.5µ is basically toothless. I stop at 600 grit to keep some tooth.

Another lazy day..only cut open packages, squished a stinging insect before he got the upper hand, not just peeled but bite-size cubed an apple, and so on....things many do w/ most any knife.

Quite the day Andreas! Great pics to go with it too!!

Bmorejeff, I'm guessing your a fellow sparky! Those tools look a little clean though.... ;)

Yes, a fellow sparky here. I'm very picky about my tools, I clean them about twice a year, I hate dirt !! I do mostly control work so I get avoid new construction

Tell Ya what I did with my Hinderer Today - I FORGOT IT!!!!! Ugghhh it's home ALONE with God only knows what going thru it's little knife mind.
Why did he leave me, What did I do, How do I get into the Beer and Cigars? stuff like that.
It was too late to turn around I was on the highway heading West - Hindy is back East.
I'm avoiding eye contact for fear someone will say, "Hey do you have a knife?" YES! Back in my workshop I have lots of knives! What's that supposed to mean?
Guess I'm edgey. Feel like I forgot my pants.

Should be easy enough to "fix"...grab-n-go bag has a backup? Glove box/Console houses something and/or there's gotta be a Kershaw /ZT collaboration in your office? Something, right?

i had to take my new fde slicer out of my pocket and "hide" it in my pack

we were driving to munich/germany to collect a pair of kimber select 3033...

then i remembered - last time the german police searched my car the officer threatened to take away my "one hand opening knife" - since it is not legal to carry in germany... would not want to risk that with my new DLC :D

Hummmm...Hinderers in the rain..don't know why but this little guy seems to find water often (as seen in past images). Humidity/etc. was so muggy that it fogged the phone's screen and camera lens so the Ti looks far more matte finished than it really is...

Heartbreaking all around Rubi. Thanks for sharing. Thankfully, you're there for your nephew - it's so tragic when the kids suffer, but you've got his back so he'll be fine in the long run. Keep taking him to your lake..

All the best,
Shane

It was a tough one for sure. Then to top it off, getting ready for the funeral my Wife goes down. Had to rush her to the ER with chest pains.
I always knew my Mom raised us to be strong and "have wide shoulders" I wish I could tell her how good a job she did.
Been a challenging time.
Thanks to ALL you guys for your support and kindness - it would be tough to express how much it helps but Thank you.

Holy crap Rubi. My prayers are with you and your family. I wish your wife a speedy recovery. I hope that she's ok!!!

Wow Rubi... Seems like you've been put the ringer lately... Hope the best amigo!! And keep on keeping on brother!!
Hope your wife is ok??

Here's a little something for the thread... Making some cord ends for some equipment

Lineman's pliers and a custom Hinderer...two tools the world would certainly miss if they didn't exist.
