What have you "HAD" to pry while in the woods?

well, im hopeing that an active duty or a pub defender will be available at blade west, or that the blade west blade will be of a semi small nature to replace iether of those... something small for edc in city limits...

im also hoping that a pauls hatchet will be available... iether tactical, or le

and im dreaming that a bm-f will be available....

Well, there was this boat called the Poseidon that went belly-up one night. People were trapped "up" in the engine room near the propshaft fittings, and we had to get them out before the boat sank. So, I grabbed my trust SAK...

I've rolled logs with the help of my SH. I've also demolished a line of built-in cabinets in our kitchen with it. If I need a bigger prybar than that, I'll have to go out and get one. So far, though, I haven't.

Ian :

We obviously have different circumstances in Australia, prying with a knife in the woods should not be necessary; tinder and firewood are in abundance.

The weather is a large factor here. Usually you can pick up small tinder in the form of bits of branches, very dry, and various moss and lichen. However after it has rained heavily, all of this will be very wet. Even what was covered under trees and other dead blown wood. In those cases being able to quickly break aparts woods to get at the dry insides can be valuable.
