What HI blade do you just gotta have?

I've already been pestering Yangdu about one I want. I want a Kumar Karda. Not the beautiful, antler handled, kind that have been popping up lately on DOTDs. I want a plain, uncarved, unfancied up, wooden handled, preferably a villager, Kumar by golly Karda. The more villagers I own and use, the more I've come to prefer them. I know how much work goes into making a knife, so when I look at a beautifully turned out khuk with "magic stone" mirror finished blade, and gleaming handle of lustrous wood and sparkling metal, I can appreciate that the kami went to a lot of time and effort to get it that way.
A villager, on the other hand, don't care if you scratch it up, don't care if you ding it's handle, or give it a wrap with grip tape. Villagers make no pretext at being show knives or collectibles, right out of the box they're ready to take whatever you can dish out. They ask for no favors, and make no excuses, they are the "working class". Them's good knives. :D

I really want a Falcata, but can't pay the pricetag and shipping to Europe. Sad, it will be a few years before i will be able to buy one.

But hey who's complaining, right?:)

JKM, wood handled. 21" vilalger chitlangi. 18" villager AK with the magic proportions.

Might be able to help you out on that one. I've got a saatisal handled, Sher forged, 18" AK villager that's a real hoss and a pistol ball. It don't get used 'cause truth be told I grew up on saw and axe for processing quantities of wood. Shame to let a good knife like that gather dust, e-mail me if you want to set up a deal.

3/4" thick 18" ang khola... dont expect that one to ever come up, as its hard to find steel that thick, and hard to forge. but i reeealy want one, and have for a long time

A Himalayan sword with the following:
Blade: 18"
Handle: 10" or 11"
Carving: No dragons or religious symbols, just good carving to help with the grip
Scabbard: Leather covered wood
This steel should be hardened stuff that is the pits to sharpen, able to be used as a prybar, or to ward off another sword. It could be finished or villager, that is the least of my worries on this one. The point needs to be sharp.

I have no idea why, but the kerambit is what i carry the most aside from my Corporal Sarge/KPH. It goes with me where I go. Small enough to fit in my pocket, tough enough to smash through stuff, beautiful enough to turn heads, de-evolved to take them off.
It's like a .38 snubbie. It's not the first gun you would pick up to go hunting, not the first firearm you would hand to a soldier, but it's what you might have with you and not need it.
On the other hand, the seax really speaks to me as well. Easy to shapen, easy to pack, tough as nails.

25" AK like those used in days of yore (a few years ago) and a true Villager falcata (no artwork, battlefield ready :foot: )

Maybe an HI billhook or halberd.

Hmmm, sounds like my Busse AK-47. 18.5" INFI blade and 11" micarta handle. I could've had 4 Himalayan swords for the same price. sigh....

like the chiruwa ak's that came through a while ago? (horn handled)

or something with the traditional handle?

I'll throw in my vote for a villager falcata with Neem handle.
I'd also like a 20"-22" villager chit.
Then there's that #1 sword from the 6/1 DOTD.
YCS karda, hanshee, samsher...

Where's that bloody rich uncle when I need him. ;)

o 20 and 22 inch chiruwa AK and/or GRS
o 14 inch mini chiruwa AK
o 22 inch BDC
o a foxy folly in a couple weights - heavier goodier
o a YCS kit
o eventually a munk chunk cleaver
o a chitlangi of decent size (or what's the strongest/toughest of the chitlangi, sirupati, kobra, ... etc type shapes? - some of those chos/etc look like major stress risers - have a large sirupati, i'm thinking 25" chitlangi utimately)
o a goodly sized gelbu special
o a nifty hanshee at some point

all with silver metal, standard bolsters, wood, no cho creep, as possible

Tedwca,
It does sound just like it. But, I would hold out for the carved wooden hilt, that pointed Himalayan sword point, and the leather covered wood sheath. Also the tough HI steel sounds good to me as well. In a sword, a little weight is not a bad thing. Your Busse is functional, but it just isn't as artistic as the HI sword. No offence, I hope!

I want a khukuri to carry and chop wood, I start from there.
You can get a khuk to carry what you chop? Must be more than I thought in those magic proportions ... :D

You are so right about the villagers. I would like to get a simple villager BAS, if I can beat the sharks one of these days I might be so lucky.

Ping an email to Yangdu ... a similar request turned up a Sarge that she thought was otherwise unsaleable ... and we each walked away happy.
