I’ll throw what seems to be a polarizing wildcard into the mix. Gavin Hawk’s Talon. You either love them or hate them it seems, but I can’t get enough of them. And now he’s created one in an auto version which should be out soon so I’m already saving my pennies. He said he’s going to continue to make the manual Talons but the production will slow way down - which is bad news for fans like me because there aren’t a whole lot floating around as is.

There at least two or three must-have versions I still need in addition to the two I already own. This knife habit can definitely get expensive, but hat the hell? My kids are all grown and on their own and it’s true what they say: YOLO.

These aren’t mine. They are pics of IMG_0006.jpegIMG_0007.jpegIMG_0008.jpegIMG_0009.jpega couple customs from the manufacturer for the trade show in Atlanta.

Enjoy it. While I may not find them aesthetically appealing, I have all the respect in the world for the way they are manufactured. Each one is a work of art.

Definitely a polarizing blade. Ya either love it or hate it. As far as build quality I cant say I have handled anything better. Not to say it’s the best though. Design wise and functionality is where I would say it’s just as good but not necessarily better than an LG, reeves etc. I think that may be where it’s equal to but not necessarily worth twice as much. And while the action is incredible it’s no better than my mk3. And that’s on washers.

I was considering the hawk for a little bit but ultimately decided I dont much care for the overall aestetic of it. Plus the high flipper is odd to me looks like it should be a front but isnt. I wish they weren't 99% acid washed too some nice polished or stonewash would be cool i knkw they made em just nit very many.

Here it is popped up on recon1 pre-owned but never used looks to have never even been handled under box price couldnt pass it up

Hell yeah I figured you picked that one up! Excellent score for the price considering they only made 100 of them I think?? I love mine, it’s forever in the “do not sell” category.

But yeah considering its limited and was under box price I figured it was a good buy worst case I dont like it I can flip it for what I paid. Im still unsure if the cost is worth it honestly. This isnt broken in yet so time will tell its deffinitly smooth but a little stiff so well see when it works in.
