What I brought home from Knob Creek....

Those are some great custom fighters! You always score some of the best blades! The second one down is my favorite.

SOoooooo!!!! Thats where the ram's horned handled one went............Great score Eric!!!

I may have been subconsciously trying to get someone to buy it so I didn't have to ;)

I've resembled that comment.:)

They're all nice Eric congrats.

The top one though  that is one fine piece of INFI there.:thumbup:

Thanks for sharing.

I waited and waited to see if anyone else was going to buy it (maybe you). When it was still. On the table Sat. Evening when I was leaving I figured I'd better take it with me. ;)

they were all still on the table Saturday evening so don't think you can't find sweet pieces after Friday ;)

First, awesome scores. They are absolutely gorgeous knives, and I'm glad you snagged them...

That said, your definition of "sweet pieces" is very different from mine. I don't ever see myself buying mountains of those custom shop one-off variations and various other fancy stuff. I buy user knives, and the price of big gorgeous custom shop blades puts them well out of user range for me. There could be a thousand amazing custom shop blades around on saturday, and it wouldn't do me any good.

And a lot of the cool old-school stuff was in fact gone before the show even opened. That's the stuff I would buy to use, not to put in a safe. Those SHSJ's are probably awesome slicers, and the BM-E that got snagged in the hotel room is a grail knife for me to do some serious chopping.

There are sweet pieces to be had on Saturdays, for sure, but a lot of those sweet pieces are still there because they cost too much for poor piglets like me to be able to take them home.

I thought when I finished college (after more than ten years, mind you!), I was gonna be able to afford all the toys I wanted. But with $900 satin/DC flame pattern battle mistresses sitting on tables on Saturday.... yeah, I need a new job....

I think you must have quite the collection. Hows about some photos of the whole group?

Ahhhh, that must have been 2-3 minutes after I talked to you.....:D:D

Killer cool scores as usual ya Bully!!!

You scored these two for me right?
Well, IIRC, you said you were holding on to the bottom knife for me until later,
and now IS later ya porker... so pack'em up and send'em home!!!! :D :D ;)

I waited until about 6- 6:30 before pulling it off the table. I think that's about the time you called and asked for that last pic. I'm glad it was still there so I could bring it home but it would have made my decisions easier if it was gone ;)

Those are a couple of beauties right there, if you want to come to Knob Creek in the spring I'll show them to you ;)

:D:D

I was there Saturday.. I saw them on the table.. Held them too!! :) Very fast that fighter was in the hand.. Got pics with a buddy and a pair of Moab's. Picked up a nice black paper warden and 4 howling Rat's. Good seeing you and the crew Eric. You guys that didnt make it to Knob should just kick yourselves in the ass and make plans to attend next year.. It's a very cool place and a great chance to score some badass steel.

Hey... that's not quite the same thing now is it??? :grumpy:

But I guess it will have to do. ;)
It's the only way I'll ever see them again before they slip off into that INFI black hole. :(

Congrats again Eric... I really, REALLY do like that set!
